@CJack14dt what you mean? Like x/10? Or x/5? I dont need to rate it. Go watch it. Its Self-explanatory and compare it to other Cleric videos. Take it from an inexperienced perspective. And see for yourself
I would get shield master to get +2 on DEX saves instead of War Caster. Since Resilient gives CON saves already and you would literally be an invincible healing blender (with Spirit Guardian and Spiritual weapon). Haven't play BG3 yet but I played a War Domain Cleric in DnD IRL. Great video and very informative.
Shield master is really bad now that it doesn’t have a bonus action. In 5e shove is an action, shield master lets you shove as a bonus. VERY strong. Until they give it a new ability like knocking prone, never worth taking
working on a gith psionic necromancer currently.. 1 war cleric / 11 necromancer.. w psionic silver greatsword, undead army in tow, lead by mummy w demonic madness jaja
How do you get around the low charisma for a dialogue heavy game I would love to do all my points into str con and wis but 8 cha seems very limiting any ideas
Yes, divine intervention can only be used for one of it's effects once per character, per playthrough. Divine Intervention's description lays it out plain as day @ 15:17. "Once used, this can never be used again."
You might know this by now but if not the dieity you choose doesn't affect the game directly but in very rare occurrences you might get a conversation option based off the one you chose in dialog options. Other than that no effect.
update) lv 3 war cleric v1 monk. He can now speak with dead unlimited amounts a time a day. and he trys to speak with everyone he kills... this is turning out to be a very dark monk ( Monk is weak early so i went Cleric first but still over all fells weakish early but my god is it fun)
No. Paladin has more attacks, a taunt (challenging duel), and auras. A Cleric *can* do some tanking with heavy armor, Bless, Shield of Faith, etc., but a War Domain Cleric is a melee Cleric, not a tanking Cleric. Some domains (War, Life, Nature, and Tempest) are tankier, by heavy armor proficiency, but that's all.
@Sh1ft3r1 Actually, Paladin with Protection (5 ft disadvantage rolls) feat and Compelled Duel (forced taunt) is a Tank role if you wanna play it that way. I used Minthara this way on my first playthrough. She's a beast.
@horunovaraki6060 if you use heavy armor, you don't lose any AC, but you do get a -1 to initiative and will have weak dex saves so I usually like to have dex to at least a 10 but it's not a huge difference if you don't :p
You if you want to put your Dex at 8 then I would suggest getting those gloves of dexterity from the Gith merchant at the monestary. Equipping those gloves makes your dex an automatic 18. Can’t go any higher though. But you will be at the front of the que in most fights and won’t get that -1 AC.
