LMAO Much like Reggie, Shadowheart, and Lae'zel, that ending fucking killed me! Honestly, it's hilarious how many bugs you run into. My game's modded out the ears at this point and I don't run into this kind of issue somehow.

I had the exact same bug with the transport on my HONOR run. I almost completely lost my honor mode run because every party member died except for Lae'zel, who luckily survived the fall with a sliver of health left.

That ending was priceless

Interesting glitch in the end, never seen anything like that :-) You probably glitched those three characters out of cells, that govern temporary surfaces, when you died in the trial, I think it uses the same mechanics for invisible paths. That's why they couldn't stand on moving platforms. Saving and reloading would have solved it, if you had more experience with the game you probably would have done it after elevator glitch :-) I didn't know those things carried over through the long rest though, interesting :-)

Someone made a comment at the end to play Honour Mode for the extra boss mechanics. If the whole "Iron Man" thing isnt your cup of tea, theres a mod that gives all the bosses their extra Legendary mechanics on other difficulties (Honour Feature Unlocker). Some of the extra mechanics are really cool and worth experiencing, so could be an option for you!

Wow...i am in my third playthrue right now and never had so many hefty bugs :-D Some kind of luck i guess. But still, for the lets play it was an amazing ending today :-D

That's really interesting about the faith leap trial. When I played it, my Drow main character was able to actually *see* the path in the water. I wonder if it was something about Drow darkvision, or that my character happened to have a permanent "see invisibility" buff. I've also seen others play it and cast Daylight in the room, which completely lit up the path. I know it's not very "faithful" to do something like that, but it sure worked. :)

I wonder what happened with the game when I did the Faith Leap trial, because I could very clearly see the path and actually googled the trial afterwards because it was so ridiculously easy I was sure it must’ve been bugged or something. Maybe you can see the path if you’re not carrying any light-sources? Or maybe it’s the opposite and you just need some "better" light like the Light of Lathander?

I think the "death of gaming" issue that's actually important is game preservation; there's some with official backwards compat (like Nintendo providing access to some NES, SNES, & 64 games through their online services, or Xbox backwards compat, etc...), but a ton of titles are gone, and more disappear each year because they're too small, niche, or simply lost already. Emulation saves a lot of them, but too many fall through the cracks, or just have companies taking them down.

Oof. That faith leap trial is not well executed, imo. The game mechanics they employed in designing it are less than ideal. I didn't even know it was supposed to kill you. My play through it just reset me at the start when I failed. Cannot understand why they chose something so frustrating. And yeah, I had that glitch with the lift as well. Many feels for you, Gopher.

That particular death of gaming thing (with Nintendo saving the industry) was an actual 'historical' event just before the NES was released. I'm sure the facts have long since been twisted and lost though. Videogames supposedly weren't making money for companies any more. There were rumors that they were just going to completely stop making them because of that. Then Nintendo (formerly a card and toy company) decided to try their hand at a video game system, at STRONG advisement against doing so from investors. The success of Super Mario World proved that VGs could still make good profits, and the entire industry spun up like mad. The way the history lesson is shared, tries to paint Nintendo as some hero-company that completely saved gaming, by innovation alone! It even got taught in my "computer graphics tech" college courses as cold-hard-fact, here in The States. The professors were usually trying to drive home the need for innovation and determination even within well-established industries. I'm not surprised at the poor guy's response, and disbelief that people didn't believe him. The people who know 'of' it, understandably think it is fact, as that's the way it's taught. So anyone not knowing it, and directly refuting it, can confuse the person who already 'knows it as fact". Personally, I think it was more of a "death of CONSOLE gaming", but again, I'm going off what I was taught, and therefore think of as fact. I'm willing to admit, I may have been taught wrong. PS: I also copy pasted some of this comment as a reply to someone else.

That glitch at the end. I have never seen that ever, not in my 1200h of BG3 nor in any of the hunderts of bg3 videos i have watched. But its always nice to see that you can find glitches that nobody else has ever found before. A last a TIP: You can change character by hitting F1 - F4. Hey - F5 is a wonderful key aswell, you should try it out. I love this playthrough... you are fighting more with the game then anybody else in the known universe.. that is a fun fact and i am here for it.
