One of Helm's other domains in tabletop is Twilight (the cleric I mentioned earlier is twilight domain), which gives moonbeam as a domain spell, so the spear fits a few different ways.
If I remember correctly. Helm fell out of favour because he straight up killed Mystra. The Gods were De-powered and Mystra knew of a way to get back to the celestial realm. She climbed the divine stairs only to find that Helm was Guarding that entry point, she tried to force her way past him but realised he still had his God powers and she was killed. Helm apparently felt really bad about killing her. Don't take this as 100% correct, I'm probably missing some massive pieces of lore but thats what I remember.
I made a build but im having trouble with the leveling, gloves of the automaton, light of creation, necklace of elemental augmentation, ring of mental inhibition, ring of elemental infusion, cloak of elemental absorption, severocks horned helm, and I was thinking of going 6 levels into storm sorcerer with 5-6 levels into archfey warlock pact of the blade for a lightning polearm build originally it was either eldritch knight or champion mixed with circle of land druid. Ide love you're thoughts on it and I can't wait for your next build
I'd say go with Bladelock Storm Sorcerer but throw a level of Tempest Cleric in there. You'd get water, which can make enemies vulnerable to your electric attacks and create electric surfaces. You could also throw on the watersparkler boots to get lightning charges. In addition, Tempest would also give you the ability to deal lightning or thunder damage as a reaction. It works nicely since you're a spellblade.
@@HoboZone I can't believe I forgot boots lol, also thanks I haven't tested it yet due to leveling and im really exited to try it, and you are by far my favorite content creator keep up the good work
@@HoboZoneim about to get on and I think for the early game until I get to level 6 or 7 im going to run eldritch knight with warped headband of intelligence
Unfortunate.... I know that this is a build for a patron of helm, but I see what looks like Undyne in the thumbnail, wielding a spear, but there's no weapon bond throwing.....
have you considered doing something with the echo knight subclass mod? it can make for some pretty interesting multiclassing combos, even if you mayn't like mercerbrew.
An alternative option to BM fighter could've been a Swords bard for the ability to push things around and have spells tied to your charisma that offer more field control.
@@HoboZone plasmoid warlock withe mask of many faces is just funny Been wanting to try a plasmoid samurai fighter My personal favorite is reborn but that's mostly because of teddy he was a necromancer stuffed bear with the soul of his owner bound to his mother's skeleton would be animated to carry him some time the hardest thing is letting go
I think my next playthrough is going to be a knowledge cleric who begins studying rare form of magics and gets in touch with a powerful wild magic source. This experience gives the character a new knowledge source and dangerous new powers ;-) I did a similar thing before, but with Warlock class 😊
Oohh noo, you forgot about this other item that mentions Helm! I was open to collecting ideas for a Helm-themed build so I will use most of what you suggested. But the gloves slot will have to go to the Hellrider's Pride, because of its ability that gives Blade Ward to every creature it heals that is called Helm's Protection. Using Healing Word for bonus actions becomes double effective, lay on hands as well. Perhaps going Life cleric is worth it too
God if I could mod things (I am unfortunately tech/program dumb) I'd make a mod that let's you upgrade fave gear from early game. Perhaps by going to Dammon. And to make it balanced it'd probably have to sacrifice a higher grade weapon to upgrade the lower one. Example, if you want to bring Phalar Aluve to endgame, you'd sacrifice a legendary tier weapon to give it those legendary stats. You lose that legendary weapon, but create a new one that sticks to whatever theme you're trying to keep your character to. Also, I couldn't help but giggle at this guy's name XD Been sick as well, and this brought a smile to my face. Thanks dude!
@@HoboZone Oh nice! But mainly I meant, any weapon you grow attached to, being able to upgrade it would be cool. Phalur Aluve was just the example I used cause. That was is my favourite XD
@chloenelson3951 well the way the mod works is not actually upgrading a weapon (that would be nearly impossible to implement), but rather having duplicate weapons at certain tiers of strength. You then are given those weapons for completing objectives that trigger event flags. I quite like this idea. It's easier to implement and gives you extra quests to do.
