Baldur's Gate 3 - The Poisoner (Build Request) 

New duo tactician run with poison damage. Calling it Fart and Shart

The absolute timing of this - I was wondering earlier today about doing an evil run as a drow druid (a Drowid, if you will) leaning hard into poison damage and spider roleplay (basically just to impress Minthara ngl) and bam, here's a build for it. You read my mind, my dude.

Before you get the ring of regeneration, a good way to proc the necklace is Goodberry.

I tend to watch the whole video even when I don't plan on trying the build because y9ur gear recommendations are always great.

Recently I start another playthrough with my wife and my "go-to" build is arcane monster... 10 moon druid/2 evocation wizard. Blast some big damaging spells (safe bubble for allies), self haste than turn into owlbear and attack 6-10 times per turn (with bloodlust potion) From the lore perspective you have befriend a nature to such degree that Mystra wants to jump on you... You can learn from spells scrolls and have access to all spell slots. It's definitely a lot of fun. You are also quite powerful from the lvl 2 and almost independent from the inventory. Just put some points into wisdom (14) and intelligence (16).

I'm on my third run and i was looking for interesting acid build for Laezel, but couldn't really think efficient way, since i can't be dragonborn, so i need sorcerers draconic ancestry, but then i found this build and this looks so interesting, since i haven't played druids yet. Thanks!

I like that the poisoner's ring lets you take enemies straight from resistant to vulnerable to poison. My Markoheshkir + Thorn Blade Shadowheart spec'd Trickery Cleric could get a good combo going between off-hand divine strike (poison) and mainhand Cloudkill actions once a long rest

You could also replace the boots with water sparkers for more Electric dot if you can make the environment consistently wet

One other option for weapons in case you don’t want the anti-synergy with Symbiotic Entity from Loviatar’s Scourge is Myrkallite Scourge from Act 2. It’s obv a little later on but losing your temp health can be a big deal early on

Excellent build as always! For the Jurassic Park build, I feel like it could be fun to have a black dragonborn to spit acid up until you get level ten. (Okay you caught me, this is just a breath weapon build request in a trenchcoat, please)

Halflings are awesome. Every other race has an innate 5% chance to bungle anything with a critical failure, but halflings re-roll all 1s once, so they only have a .25% chance.

Have to say that your thumbnail game is getting good recently. On the point of inflicting condition, threatening someone in melee also counts. That's why it's very easy to proc Reverberation. Last run I used a build similar to this but with pure Druid, Shillelagh-ing my staff and caning everything, real fun. It'd be great if we can get Strengthened Shillelagh from the Dryad too, because GWM on pure Druid for more damage is just missing half the time.

Such a shame so many enemies are resistant or straight up immune to poison, because this is an awesome build!

Trying this for, weirdly, Astarion on my "everyone is a druid" playthrough. Trying to find druid builds that don't break lore too badly and even though this isn't a rogue I think this fits Astarion's personality pretty well. (Especially since when he bites people he heals, which combined with the Broodmother's amulet is pretty good.) I feel like he's a melee character at heart and the fact that this is a dex based build doesn't break lore toooo much.

Built this with a Half-Orc for Savage Attack on Crits really fun to multi-class! Hope people aren’t scared away from a fun build by a halfling thumbnail. Hey man I found something cool today I haven’t seen elsewhere and maybe you’d like to incorporate it into a build someday. Basically Metamagic works on spells from items. I used twinned spell to apply the DrakeThroat Glaive weapon buff onto two weapons at once. Has a lot of application for dual wield builds! Rn I’m running a frosty John wick of a Shadowheart. 4 attacks per round proccing Encrusted with Frost and patches of ice with every hit. So great for CC and boss melting!

Great build, I used Jaheira as a poison build utilizing the Thorn Blades you get from Act 2. Glad to see Dwarves and Halflings getting some recognition.

The Thorn Blades from Damon works well with this build so it really comes online in act 2

Was wondering if you could do a Poseidon type build. Im finally in Act 3 again and found this dope ass trident 🔱 and wondered if it was possible for a water based build

I'm running a primarily poison damage tactician playthrough. I've got to act three with it. I went for 3 levels of Ranger (beast master - for spiders adding more poison damage) 2 levels of Druid (circle of spores) and the rest in Wizard (I'm currently levels 7) Collected all poison equipment including the staff from the circus in act 3. It's wild

Stellar build, some love for the short races recently ! Btw have you already done a build trying to emulate the Duergar Mindmasters you find down in the underdark ? I like the fantasy of an evil bastard controlling and coercing his enemies !

How would you suggest making a similar build, but mainly focused on spellcasting instead of melee? What would need to change?

I'm putting in a build request. I don't know if this is the best place to put it but here it is. I know you already made a build focused on the Shadow Blade ring/spell. But you really didn't play to the spell's strengths. It's really best used as an offhand in a dual wield hexblade build and that's specifically what I'm requesting/suggesting.

Could you create a wild magic sorc/divination wizard build? I'm imagining the character as a medium with powerful magic they can't really control

That Monk dip is a very nice idea for a dex based char, so you could use him for lock picking and stuff like that 🙂 and i love poison builds for an evil run
