@@RebelRadios My favorite is being waylaid by 6 bow wielding bandits when traveling to the Friendly Arm at level 1. Screwed my no-reload Sorcerer run real quick. Popped Shield but was still taken down with extreme prejudice.

@@RebelRadios In the EE version I get it once in awhile. That's why berzerker/(insert any class here) runs are ideal solo runs.

It goes over how to get to 32,000 EXP within 30 minutes of starting a new char. Personally, even on the insane difficulty, you can do the Basilisks trick without protection from petrification because mobs will focus Korax 99% of the time if you have him lead first to draw aggro. Though if you play with mods that change how AI targets enemies (Like SCS) you should always go get the protection

That’s a really good roll! If you take it to BG2 then that charisma won’t matter at all because you get the ring that sets it to 18 straight away!

Hey! I would say the 88 skill points only because if you are playing through the first game you get the strength tome to boost to 19, I would always say that as long as you have 18/51 or better then go more skill points. It’s just so you can break locks is why I do it 😁

A bit late, but maybe s.o. else stumbles over this comment: Dual at level 9: max hp, 3 uses of berserker rage and you get the bonus half attack from level 7. Alignment: there's a great throwing axe only for good characters which helps with undead early on in bg2. Best familiars are evil though (lawful evil imp has polymorph self) and there's a longsword only for evil characters - but taking it, turns you evil anyway. Weapon choices: usually dual wielding is the most efficient. For mainhand there are 4 choices superior to all others and you want to put 5 points into them: Flails - Flail of the Ages +4 (dont upgrade to +5) is probably the best weapon (though there are few flails overall, so there's little variety). Axes: good accessibility throughout all stages of the game, best dps solution. Long Swords: most versatile, eventually you want to become evil sooner or later for the end game sword. Bastard Sword: VERY limited, but best sustain weapon early ToB till end. Off hand is scimitar or short sword (kundane or belm), 1 point is enough. 2handed options: 2h swords or halberds. You may want to use staves every now and then, but for these occasions 2 points are enough. Spells: boost your defenses and buff yourself at levels 2, 4 and 6 (blur, mirror image, improved invis, spirit armor, stone skin, prot from magical weapons / energy, improved haste), summons at level 5 (animate dead) and 7 (mordekainens) and deal damage with Skull Traps, abi-dalzims and sequencers. Use breach and remove magic for debuffs. This will bring you thru 98% of all content

Forgot Katanas: there's one(!) extremely overpowered katana, but it's only of +3 enchantment, so you might need an alternative weapon for certain fights

The cutscenes indicate the new chapters of the game yes! 😁 also with playing on harder difficulties I prefer not to as it doesn’t add any fun to the game for me, it just means they have more hit points and hit harder instead of actually needing skilled play. Majority of the time I have to cheese it even with a party. Think I have only done LoB twice on bg1 and didn’t like it so stuck to core rules

In all fairness I did tweak the .ini file to make the game 60fps 😂 but I used to speedrun the game a lot as well hahaha

I was playing on Core Difficulty but this build works on hard and LOB as well, and is actually more optimised for the hardest difficulties

Not sure about console bud, but on PC you can change the .ini file to make it 60fps like how I did

Scott Keslar I’m only going to be using a staff, I am dual classing into a mage so it’s not worth doing anything else other than sling but then using spells like improved haste, tesna’s transformation makes me able to beat down any character with super ease, so I want as many attacks as possible. This synergies well with time stop as you have a 100% hit chance while in time stop, I want to deal as much damage as possible if things don’t die to magic

The SECOND mindf**k is that your character sounds like Irenicus, which is going to make that final confrontation confusing and very intense.

Yeah but that ring isn’t in BG1 and having a low charisma in Bg1 makes all the items extremely expensive even with high reputation, wisdom is really the most unneeded stat here but when BG2 comes then charisma is just as useless because of that ring you get at the start of the game. I remember playing a build with 3 charisma and it didn’t go so well with the amount of money I spent on potions, I think I needed like double or triple what I had in this series

It's a great class! Definitely really strong but from my own experiences its not as op as the berserker mage!

One of the best classes in BG1, if not THE best class. You dual class from Bers at lvl 6 and you still have enough XP to get to lvl 10 Druid. Rage + Iron Skins + Full Plate. Yeah you ain't dying unless you're running SCS on insane diff.

Im talking about bg2: 13 lvl berserker + 14 druid , and double kangaax ring eheh

@@amekanus In bg2 I would rather be a multi-class Fighter/Druid. Sure, getting to 6 million XP takes time but Fighter/Druids are legit immune to physical damage with Hardiness + Armor of Faith + Earth Elemental Token.

In BG 1 I love Cleric/rogue Two weapon (club)

This build will definitely work in BG2 and is arguably the second most powerful build in that game!

I went into the .ini files and set the frame rate for the game to 60. Helps speed up combat and movement

Not a mod mate, it’s the Baldur’s gate EE with Siege of Dragonspear DLC that changes the UI to look like that 😁

You should play a fighter/thief/Mage it’s super viable and one of the strongest characters if built correctly! My way of getting through traps is typically finding protection scrolls and casting them on my self while I run through not caring 😂

Eh fighter mage is better 10 atks

Scott Keslar I was watching Critical Role and it was like 12am when I did the voice over 😂 was tired and had Grog on the mind apparently and just stuck 😂 Might be interesting to try out though using EEKeeper

Agreed for sure, but in BG1 I would argue berserker is the easiest to play!

@@RebelRadios easiest yes , but WMZ got all skils to enjoyable game , sneak , lockpick , some spels etc. This is why i say WMZ im my opinion is beat for cover all mecanic you need in the game

Not in BG1 ;) but it is a little better in bg2

Not until after you get past the level you dual classes at, the reason I like staffs is because when you dual into a mage you lose all levels from your fighter until you reach the same level. But if you go staffs at the start you still maintain all your proficiency points while as a mage instead of having to wait

@@HighlanderFrag4Life you definitely can after you hit over your fighter level as a mage, and for the best version of this build it’s actually good to get Celestial Fury and Belm!
