A walk round the departure hall at Denpasar Bali International Airport. Cozy little airport, and full of people on an evening. 2 days after a Malaysian Airlines B777 seems to have ended up in sea, not too far from here - hasn't scared off the travelling public - getting on a plane still the safest way of getting from A to B.

Some more seats in the departure lounge would be most welcome. Come on Bali get with it!!! This would then bring the standard of this airport up to that of other international airports. Much better than people having to sit on the floor at the end of a beautiful visit to a nice country.

Yes, that would be lovely. Oh btw, Bali is not a country. It's PART of a country. And that country is Indonesia. Bali is a province of Indonesia.

Great video! I used to live in Bali but left last year before the new airport was finished and wandered what it looked like now. Looks great, so much better then when it was old and had rats and wild cats running around haha

Really nice video. The only thing i wouldnt like to pass all these stores to go go gate. we will be in bali this august again but with a domestic flight.later on spend also few days in singapore.

thanks mate, I will be there in august. cant bloody wait man. so the taxi service counter is inside the air port not on the out side like the old airport??

great work mate, i think your the first to post footage of the new airport. do ypu know if the airport has a taxi service window when exiting the airport?remember the old airport had one to the right after exiting? thanks mate

yah, after customs etc... just before leaving airport... taxi counter. pay the taxi counter, they give you a voucher to where you going, you give voucher to taxi driver. no money given to taxi driver.

You're a lucky man living in Singapore, beautiful country. I noticed this week that Singapore has been named the most expensive city in the world to live, I've also noticed this more and more with each visit. Do you think this is starting to become a problem for Singapore? It could start to price people out from visiting. Be interesting to hear what you think.

There's a lot of income inequality and the place can be expensive or cheap. You can buy a coffee at a hawker centre for $1 or at Starbucks for $6. Can buy fried rice for $5 at a hawker centre or $25 at a fancy restaurant. If you know what you're doing not expensive at all. I think the metrics Economist used are inaccurate - from what I've seen Singapore not expensive; I used to live in London, and visit London regularly - reckon London more expensive because there isn't the price/income inequality. A taxi from airport to city in Singapore is about 10 pounds; a similar taxi ride in London about 10 miles much more...

MrKesavaraj Hi thanks for replying! I do in the main agree, although i don't think you can ever say Singapore is not expensive. The report by economists i was referring to about Singapore being the most expensive city to live, used an average family with a car, including the car permit in the cost, which i would say squewed the results somewhat, in my experience a car is not needed to live and work in Singapore, and like you say taxis etc are far far cheaper than say London. Also accommodation in Singapore is not as expensive as some think, you can get a good mid to high class hotel like The Carlton for around 100 pound sterling, no chance of that in London. Anyway thanks again for your reply, and as always really love your videos. Keep up the good work!
