Yes, I would expect it to be quiet as all the Australians are busy back at work. I'd expect them to be back there at easter and in the April school holidays. I stayed in Kuta in Poppies lane in January. Really enjoyed it. disappointed to see Kuta square almost disappear and to be taken over by Beachwalk, which is fortunately not a high rise mall.
Oh dear, they have changed the beachfront so much with their "improvements" that one decent swell will have the beach swamped. It is so much shorter than it used to be. We will be staying there for 5 nights in October before we come to Sanur and Lembongan.
