BALIWA is a show which takes you back in time to talk about those who have been there, seen it and done it And today we profile Fenon CEO Steve Jean #jenkinsmukasa #vybelifeug #kasukulive
I first saw Steve at Kibuli Secondary in 1988. He was known all over the school as a great artist that could draw himself without looking in a mirror, he was so good in English he wrote a novel that many booked to read and was known for making beats out of drumming on the desk!! He was also known for wearing several belts that his nickname was Misipi-Bidongo (I hope old Steve wouldn't mind me mentioning that)🤣. He was music through and through....he was a funny guy to hang around. He left Kibuli and his first job after Lubiri was as a car-tyre salesman.....the shop was situated not far from Fenon Studios. I am sure Rucci was wrong in saying they met as teenagers in Outbreak band early 80's.....Steve ain't that old!! About his heart...all said about him is true and some more.✌🏿❤️
Rucci was right in saying so. Steve was a fan of the Outbreak Band. It was a youth group and our audience target was youths. At a show staged in Kibuli S S, mid 80's, Steve made it on stage, appreciated the group and asked the band members for permission to perform a song. That is how most of us met Steve Jean. He was definitely talented on the mic. I believe he was in Form 1 at the time. And obviously, they'd met with Rucci prior. P.s I'm that old.
I dont believe any main stream TV station has chronicled Steve Jean better than this. This episode in years to come will be an online historical account on the works and life of the great man. Good work Vybe life Ug
Steve Jean is undoubtedly a GOAT- Uganda’s best Producer and events genius of all time. He revolutionized and synthesized Uganda’s music production and events management.

Thanks uncle sendi & Jenkins. When you have the ear to music, a Steve Jean song hits differently. It doesn’t matter if the song is 20 years & more, his production sounds modern to-date.

I was a kid when Dangeon studios brought us a jam for the youth called "Kakokolo". Shanks vivie D's rap on that jam was my favorite part. Steve Jean is a man who always believed in himself #Goodtimes
