I still remember that sad day. I was in highschool and when the news broke about Toše's passing the whole world just stopped, the whole class burst into tears and we went at the city square to light a candle in his name. I'm from Macedonia, Skopje and everyone here miss Toše, his music and his heart of gold! 💔
I highly recommend Aki Rahimovski (Croatian band "Parni valjak"), songs: - Sve još miriše na nju, - Vrijeme ljubavi, - Stranica dnevnika. Aki was one of the best lead singers in the region. A true legend, may he rest in peace.
I am so so beyond glad you've made a whole video dedicated just to Tose, and that you gave some backstory at the beginning. It really is such a shame he left us so early. I recommend listening to him singing Zajdi Zajdi, what he's doing with his vocals there is nothing short of amazing. I also really like his version of Nesanica, it's so epic it gives me chills
Your facial expressions is something out of this world. If you are so emotional to music I am so happy for you to explore music from Balkan. Then also if you are just trying to express music as actor you deserve oscar.
"Žao mi je" by Toše is for me his best song. He really showed off his belting capabilities in there. There is also one of his LIVE performances where he sung "Zajdi Zajdi" where he really showed of his vocal mastery. Great video!
Macedonian here. Even after 17 years without our Tose, new people all around the world discover his music. He had a contract signed to record two songs with Beyonce in 2008, but his fate had different plans. He would have been a world famous pop singer. Also, sadly, he was killed. The car crash was no accident. The first song that you played is from his last album that he saw coming out and he promoted it. There are songs on that album that are very sad (lyrics wise) and it seems like he had a premonition. Such a loss 💔 Our hearts break even till this day.
I'm really glad you did this video and listened to Tose. :)) He was truly the best. Never forgotten. I was a kid when he died, 17yo. I was never really a type of person to cry when a celebrity dies, but I cried my soul out for this man. I'm 33 now and I play his songs to my kids almost every day. :))
Here is in my opinion best Croatian vocal singer... please just listen ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vwuIHvM4w3w.htmlsi=p_1TQq_MZzSy_grM
@@EmmaAGould my personal favorite if his repertoire would be "Izlazi me" (or Lie to me in English), probably because it's one of the more pop-rocky ones!
Omg yes. I've seen this absolute legend catch everyone's eye recently and I'd only be happier if it had happened during his life. Between him and Zdravko Čolić, it really doesn't get better
I'd suggest you try reviewing Bajaga i Instruktori. They have a very, very unique style. Here's some songs I'd recommend (they all have very different styles): Ovo je Balkan (hard rock) Tišina (pop rock - this is his most popular song) Francuska ljubavna revolucija (French style) 20. vek (funk, mostly) Buđenje ranog proleća (classical crossover / opera) Dobro jutro džezeri (jazz / pop) Grad (indy pop probably)
@Emma A. Gould hear tose proeski eurovision 2004 life, and then you will realize how big vocals he has, also so much others live performance or for example guilty song on english also
I commend you for dedicating a whole video of Toshe's songs but it would've been great to have at least one song on Macedonian since he was Macedonian after all. Other than that great video.
Its the hardest thing to do to say goodbye to him. The entire Balkans were devastated. I strongly recommend you react to songs that are actually in macedonian like Tajno moja, Solzi pravat zlaten prsten, Srekna li si ti?, Iluzija (recommend), Polsko cveke (STRONGLY RECOMMEND), Zajdi zajdi
He died young, he would be in top of all lists in exYU if things were diferent. You should know that macedonian language is diferent than Serbian and Croat so even those songs are on foreign language for him.
*Secret place* *When I’ve got the sunlight* *If you wanna leave me* *Guilty* *Sve je ovo premalo za kraj* (*All this is too little to end*) *Josh uvijek sanjam da smo zajedno* (*I still dream of us being together*)

Toshe Proeski would have been an amazing actor too (besides being a musician) and had a talent for acting from his father Nikola Proeski who was an actor in a theater. He had small role in "Zabranjena Ljubav" a Croatian Soap Opera. He loved acting, but he loved music more and it was still his first choice. In 1997, he had a small role in the movie "The Peacemaker" with George Clooney and Nicole Kidman (the first scene in a church was shot in Bitola, North Macedonia) and the story goes the movie producers wanted boys for a church choir that can sing well and look good and one of the teachers recommended Toshe. The producers saw him and liked him instantly, and I believe he met Nicole Kidman and George Clooney.
Daleka Obala is the best rock band from Dalmatia. Here are some of their best... 14 palmi (14 palm trees) Marica (it's a girl's name - Mary) Morska Vila (Sea Fairy) Ruzinavi Brod (Old Rusty Boat) Mojoj Lijepoj (To my beautiful... Croatia) Their forte are lyrics, tho. It would be good to know what they are singing about. All of their songs are very beautiful. They sing mostly about love, melancholy, sun, sea, happiness...
@@decorinterijerd.o.o.1694 His concert career and success with the audience around region say that he is. We will not discuss your or anyone else's taste in music.
Your reaction to the 3rd song is quite similar to the reaction of Balkan people to the 1st song. Toshe Proeski's lyrics are what you really listen, a music is just a cover.
Here are some romanian songs. Hope you include them too in a future video Batuta De La Salcea - Orchestra Fratilor Advahov Chef De Chef - Adrian Minune Si ingerii au demonii lor - Dan Bittman Mai mult de-o viata - Smiley
HRT - A strana s03e01 - Oliveru (Instrumental) Inside you will find compilation of this songs: Pismo Moja Lipa Moja Kad Mi Dođeš Ti Dobro Jutro Tugo Ništa Nova Tko Sam Ja Da Ti Sudim Oprosti Mi Pape (Every one of them is for listening first to understand why is this compilation of Instrumental is made for Oliver Dragojević legacy after he died 5y ago)
You've listen to his comercial songs.. his voice is maybe at 30-40% of his capacity in this songs. If you want to listen something from him that will blow your mind, listen f.e "Zajdi, zajdi " or any traditional song, but live performance. 😆
Zajdi Zajdi -Tose, go and listen to it Next Spotlight: Zabranjeno Pusenje (no smoking band, R&R) Start with : Guzonjin sin Hadžija ili bos Zenica blues Balada o Pišonji i Žugi Jugo 45 (watch a video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0IofpvkGJPM.html ) Manijak (for some different sound)

Definition of : language you understand goes to your mind, language which is your native goes to your heart. We equally feel not that strong about English songs.
