That was the real cricket era .... That's why I say that don't even think of comparing any bowler of today with wasim and any batsman with sachin...No player comes close to these greats
Before 2004 ,Sachin was a dangerous player. After 2005 ,Sachin became a intelligent player. But he was a run making machine in both versions. That is why ,he is a genius.
Tennis elbow effected sachins batting after 2004-2005 He started relying on timing rather then attacking after 2004 Tennis elbow changed tendulkar technique not sehwag
two legends....two GOAT's facing one another....(even though Waqar's stats are better) really feel lucky to have witnessed this Era of cricket....was absolutely amazing.....
Sachin didnt performed well in 1999cwc.Dravid was the real hero scoring 465 runs in 8 matches with a brilliant 66 average and also scoring 2 tons..Ganguly,jadeja also contributed good for indian team and failed in quarter final before the semis....Dravid was the top run scorer in 1999 world cup and preceded by steve waugh of 398runs
@@mayankkumawat8802Yes man. I think he might be referring to the first super six match between India and Australia as the quarterfinal. The beginning of Aussie resurgence in 99 world cup.
SRT Still Avged 42 + in that WC despite His Father Passed Away after the First Match .. He missed d Imp Zim Match & Streak & Olonga Bamboozled ( Sachin Less ) ravid & co & That became the primary reason of Ind got ousted of d Wc as Later they Reached Super 6 without any point...so after Losing d Aus Match in Super 6, Despite They Beat Mighty Pak in the 2nd Game..They got Ousted Of d WC by some Equation after Pak lost unexpectedly to Bangladesh..even Before the Face off Ind vs NZ their Last Super 6...Regarding ravid..he most of d times Bamboozled by Wasim When he faced Wasim with d New Ball in ODIs 😅😅 Even in Dry Sharjah Wasim Dismissed Rd for Golden Duck in the Final & Ind (without Sachin just before '99 WC) Got 125 All Out.. Here too ravid is lucky Not to Face Wasim Shoaib with d New Ball under Moist Conditions.. Good for ravid, when he came gifted with some leg stump half volleys of Azhar Mahmood 😅😅. So less We Got to hear Coconut hitter ravid , comparing to Sachin..Good for the Purity 🪷 of Cricket 😅😅 poor ravid fans
This was a different battle, Wasim Akram's comment during the toss heated things up, showing up on the first ball in anger. This match was a great win, one for India to retain their chances in the wc and second beating the overconfident team.
Tendulkar had to go back from England to India in the middle of the tournament because he lost his father. Tendulkar missed the world match against Zimbabwe due to that and on his return he scored 140 something against Kenya.
Sadly Sachin post his injury Was cornered in this WC his fitness and personal set back hampered him a lot in this WC and Dunno which Dumbo designed this helmet not suitable :(
Arre b..walon . . Well left kya hota hain yeh zara dekhlo !! B.. aaj ke khel mein se yeh kahin lupt he ho gaya hain !! B..ke khelne aur kootne mein ka farak he bhool gaye hain !! 😂
@@mayankkumawat8802 if you are to base your argument based on 1st over then you should look at the whole first spell of Wasim against Sachin. He was leaving the bowl because he was unsure about making a shot.
Wasim is the greatest left Arm fast bowler and one of the greatest overall. Still he could not scalp Sachin often like Mcgrath or Shaun Pollock in especially in ODIs.
I remember this match ball by ball as it was played on 8th June 1999 (a special day for me personally) . The second innings were all but very dicey had it not been for Venkatesh Prasad’s awesome line and length medium pacers, the match could have gone anywhere. I watched the second innings at Jewel of India restaurant at worli mumbai… they had put up 5- 6 big Colour TV’s (those boxed ones which this generation is unaware of) … Just seeing my Father along with many absolute strangers hugging and congratulating each other upon India’s win gave me the thrill of a lifetime !!!! Seriously those were the Golden era of Cricket 🏏 Very very fond memories 😊
This was a special time for me too bro!! The war on the hills was on and Dad was out for the war. Operation Safed Sagar was on and IAF was bombing and we lost Ahuja's uncle and Nachiketa was just repatriated. For me, it was a sign of victory over our notorious neighbour.
1 of The Most Underrated Innings of that WC.. Facing In form Wasim-Shoaib & Co in Manchester & in Moisturized Conditions Was Not Easy at All... Rarely Openers Got Success against Them against New Ball , particularly in that WC... Very Very IMP 45 by SRT. Having Amazing Record in Wc Pak Matches History ...
@rupesh reddy @tundu Singh yes , I m afraid , it was lesser moisturized than your mumma's waste cave like juicy lower lips :) wish your father would have used plastic over d head to Stop the di*khea*s like you 2. & paiya logo ka toh brain hote Hain under their knees 😂😂
LOL! Akram himself said martin crowe was the best batsman he bowled to. Second was Lara. Tendulkar didnt play akram much on tough tracks. Just flat pitches, where even then it was even
I still remember this very beautiful & so enjoyable Cricket Game back in 1999 World Cup. So nostalgic old memories of my life forever. I will never get back those very colourful & too wonderful days of my life again. Thank u so much.
Tend to disagree here. Although dravid was a great player, sachin stands higher, interms of longevity and skills. Dravid came in 96, and sachin was a big name back then. He was a beast during early 90s, and mellowed down in late 90s and thereafter. Aggressive player in early 1990s..
Kallis and Sanga didn't have the pressure Sachin had. Had Sachin been as relaxed as those guys, he would have piled way more runs than these so called greats.
