I really like how you always try to remove the mama snakes while causing them as little stress as possible, rather than trying to aggravate her for the RU-vid/TikTok algorithm under the guise of 'getting the aggression out of her'
I imagine the snakes become trusting because of all the careful caring handling, but do they show any signs of affection in the behaviour? As reptiles how fixed facial structures I know that they can't smile, frown, or wink suggestively ;-P but do they for example show a preference for your company or contact like a mammal would when wanting to curl up in their owner's lap?
Oooh, i love how you added 32 Celsius at the end, as much as i remember much how to calculate some measurements from imperial system to metric, Fahrenheit to Celsius is awfully annoying
How many snakes do you need to sell to make breeding them financially viable?? I’d really like to have snakes, but I wonder if I can afford not to scale.
I'm VERY late, but I believe there are only very few species of snakes that stay with their babies when they hatch, and even then that's only until they know the babies can care for themselves. Otherwise, no, the mama stays until the eggs hatch, then she leaves
Help!! My ball python hasn't eaten since January 5th, she seems ok, moves a lot, drinks water, she's strong, the temperature is fine, but she refuses to eat, this Saturday perhaps I will let a vet inject her some stimulating / antibiotics for her to open appetite, do you think is necessary?,...
Ball pythons are infamous for random hunger strikes but it could also be because they got cold, you should be fine as long as they dont start losing a noticeable amount of weight, but if youre really worried a vet visit is always safe
@@hereticFox716 thank you very much! I think I forgot to keep a watch on her weight 🤦🏻♀️, the last time I did the measurements she was around 95 cm long and 900 gr. (32 oz.) I will check that today and compare,...
@hereticFox716 but nobody told me that. I would do it every 2 days and rub him in coconut oil without knowing that was bad for him, too. I'm treating it now, but I wish it was more commonly advised because I've seen literally everybody soaking their snake without any warning on how often to do it.
I'm very late, but no, I don't think he has. The incubator increases the chances of all eggs hatching, not to mention that most snake species don't develop or form bonds with their hatchlings either. In fact, most snake species leave the moment the eggs hatch!
Only if they are scared or Angry...they don't bite without Reason and they know him, a dog Can bite Too and cats too every animals bites if they are very angry or feel threatened
Snakes wont just randomly bite, its typically a last resort if they feel threatened. This snake trusts the owner and knows he wont hurt her, and they dont really care about their eggs that much (they have an instinct to protect their eggs but as the video stated it can be easily worn off simply by removing any signs of the eggs' presence) Ball pythons are actually named such specifically because they roll up in a ball when threatened rather than bite, which is also why theyre a popular pet species.
I'm very late, but most species of snakes don't form bonds with their children, in fact, most species leave the moment the eggs hatch..... The incubator increases the chance of ALL eggs hatching, not to mention the momma starves herself from the moment she's pregnant, to the moment her eggs hatch, so she is literally starving for entire months. Overall, natural incubation in PET SNAKES (NOT wild) is more risky for both parent and mother.
