My hope is that these small businesses will band together to pursue improvements and/or form their own Business Improvement Association. The U-District has the U-District Partnership, Downtown has the Seattle Downtown Association, and I believe other neighborhoods throughout the city have similarly structured organizations that interface with city government, programs, and businesses.
I think the base police pay ~103k plus bonus. Median is about 150k+ Its probably too high if they are struggling with crime. Maybe automatically fire the leadership if they can't get petty crime under control. Plenty of willing and able bodied workers ready to step in and lead those organizations if they are not intelligently run. $59,384 is the national median, its clearly not a pay issue. Maybe KOMO should be putting pressure on the people spending those tax dollars. Thoughts?
The landlord should replace the door glass with 0.30 laminated glass with 4 mil safety film on the inside. It would be much more difficult to break into.
