So let me get this straight...our planes are junk, our trains keep derailing, buses flipping over, and road ragers shooting up cars. How am I supposed to get around?!?
Wow.... big fail on the part of training and safety! A 50lb big red fire extinguisher at every gate, smaller ones on every truck or tug, and TRAIN THE PEOPLE TO USE THEM! Then when the people are on the tarmac after the fustrcluck exit (no one to guide them on the ground such as a grounds crew or baggage person?) they are standing around taking video!! They should have been bee lined to a safe space.
This is tragic another victim of senseless crime. Inslee this is on you and your softness on crime, bet the suspect has a criminal record? Condolences to the family and friends.
Always the Victim Card. How sad. Talk to the Zionists yet not the Jews for Palestine. Kind of one sided. Israel is un American. Remember the USS Liberty.
How long does it take for fire truck to be on scene at a big airport? Don't they have any on standby....nothing? Just wait for plane to go up in FLAMES?
Just wondering when the last plug inspection for worn out cable wires exposed which could create a arc when plugging into the aircraft. I checked for that all the time. Was a ramp lead for 4 years and yes most airlines contract the work out and don't pay crap.
That was really bad --- all those other planes sitting there --- this one sitting there on fire and smoking away with passengers still on board for a while people on the ground just looking at it like "huh what?" Are you kidding me??? Seems like anything could have happened here?? I guess we are lucky it did not occur earlier in the air --- but lord have mercy. And how dumb are the people (passengers) all jumping out with their bags in tow -- not a soul ever listens to anything --- bags can punture the slides, harm others during evacutations, people are just so stupid.
I am sure all service vehicles (Carrying fire extinguishers and madly driving around the airport) were probably busy driving around the airport at the time. Where's that pilot who was chopping a parking gate with an ax??? He probably could have lopped off the burning part. 🤣
I would think the fire crew would be there in less than 3 minutes. They had nothing else to do. All I saw was utility vehicles. Why would they rely on ramp crew? Some one had to be in charge to assess the situation. Never knew how the fire was going to go.
Does anyone remember when a ground personal put the gpu plug over the pitots of a soutwest 737? This is a good example of how horrible training (if they get) is provided to ground stuff. Unless they dont give a damn
FAA and NTSB are going to have a FIELD DAY ripping into this airport for the ground crew and the absolutely laughable ARFF response. ARFF is supposed to be able to get to the farthest point in the airport within 3 minutes of an emergency...They didn't show up until 4 minutes of a TIMELPASE.
I have roughly 5m of ground school training from a book, and even *I* know that the ground power plug was the cause of the fire. As others have noted, the fact that crews were *walking around in circles* rather than reacting is a reflection of poor training, or... Seattle? Every ground crew person should have been running for an extinguisher and/or getting anything with fuel away from there. It was a full 1.5 minutes before the first door was opened. What the hell? That changed from something that should have been a 10 second blurb on the news, to a genuine FAA investigation.
Thats what happens when everyones entitled and no real consequences just a we believe in you were sorry you feel that way lets work on making your feelings feel good
Another example of stock holder and CEO profits that are more important than the lives of customers and employees and why I (A&P) no longer work on aircraft. When enough crashes occure and more die from greed it will implode.
