Heads up to the producers: you don't need dynamic angles and multiple shots when filming a ballet variation!! Ballet companies usually just do one continuous head-on shot that glides horizontally with the dancer. The variation is wasted if you keep cutting to her face only, or showing everything *but* the feet.
@oliviacase6417

Nothing is harder then the black/white swan role but this role is close. Ballerinas should get Olympic medals at this level.
@juliareder1697
@juliareder1697 4 года назад
Air Quotes some roles are just as demanding. Such as princess in sleeping beauty. As often in companies on a principled say off dancing aurora they dance the evil fairy. Other ballets Luke Raymonda have lots of variations for a principle dancer. But I loved dancing black swan such a great yet challenging role both physically but also because the acting of character has many dimensions. If you haven’t noticed I love my craft. 💙
@carolinaapintoo

Hmm there are roles as hard or even harder as odette and odile. I think you meant to say that the most physically demanding ballet is swan lake, and that almost everyone can agree because the principal is p much always on stage giving it her all

0 seconds ago I would like her to be a great student. Her coach told her that her piqué was too low. Her foot needed to be at the knee. But, she never changed it. Her piqué foot. kept landing at her mid-calf instead of at the knee making a much less coach told her that needed to be at the knee and she never changed it her piqué the knee making a much less exciting turn. I think a coach coaches you .and you are to receive what the coach says .You are not co-coaching, which is the feeling I get with this young lady. I love the way the Russians coach. There’s so much respect between the two. The coach either should be very honored or get another coach

It's so fascinating to see her struggling. I feel like I as a complete amateur tend to think of professional ballerinas as people who just know how to do it. Which of course makes no sense - they constantly need to train, they need to rehearse, to learn new things all the time just like every other professional. This way really a great eye-opening video.

I've played the 3rd flute/piccolo for this so many times. I'm basically tacet until the very end. I don't see the dancers very often but gosh, I love and appreciate this so much! I can't wait to do concerts again :)

It's amazing how humans can push to this level -- pushing the body to do things it wasn't designed to do but yet making it seem as if its the easiest thing to do! I thoroughly enjoyed this and the awesome ballerina!

You'd have the legs if you were a ballerina. They earn them! It takes a ton if strength to lift your leg that high.

She's so great at explaining what she's doing! It takes someone who really knows what they're doing through and through to be able to explain things so clearly. If she wants to after her stage career, I hope she becomes an instructor!
