Stop complaining, this isn't the actual music and this routine gives ballet an edge to it, something more unique than the usual ballet. I think its amazing!!!!!!!!
I love Center Stage soooo much!!! My favorite ballet movie of all times. This is my favorite dance scene and I like it more with this music lol...plus Sascha is soooo HOT; if you don't know thats the guy who played Charlie on the movie
For people who think this isn't ballet, it isn't. It is in fact contemporary dance. Contemporary is ballet and hip hop mixed together. Your welcome for clearing that up.
this is modern ballet its a mix of ballet and jazz !! we dont have much true ballet nowadays . as dancers nowadays we are really into contemporary and mixing ballet with other dance forms this one is really big right now cause it has the up beatness of jazz but the footwork of ballet its a great mix
i love it that the shoes are red!!when i was a little girl and took ballet lessons i always dreamed to own red ballet shoes someday it was seriously a huge childhood dream i will always remember!
I can't imagine how elegant can those chunks of muscle be...many talented ballerina has both skills and nice plus healthy body shape. I am sorry for your ignorance.
i think this soundtrack goes better with the dancing than original one does :). I love this type of ballet.. and only 2 more grades till i ge there ;) Wish me luck Ahahah x
Esta es una de mis peliculas preferidassssss es demasiado buena para las personas que alguna vez hemos practicado ballet...y entendemos lo lindo del arteeeee
Her shoes start off pink and change to red because it moves from a previous scene in the ballet. There are three parts to the ballet and this video is the last section. I love Centre Stage especially this last dance scene :-)
ballet is really hard...it takes concentration, discipline and passion in this video the dancer is on toe shoes also called pointe shoes and that is really difficult to do...you have to train really hard to get there.....i'm on pointe and i'm 14 but i've been dancing since i was 3..but you can start anytime...you are NEVER to old to start! good luck!
My God, how.... how utterly bizarre! Not what I was expecting when I clicked a video called simply "Ballet" :P Strangely enjoyable, though. If the music really isn't what was originally chosen for this piece... you've done a fantastic job choosing it! It fits incredibly well. I've never seen the original before, but this works wonderfully.
I think ballet and all dances are definitely a sport, especially on high level. I'm a student at the academy of dance so I think I know what I'm talking about ;) Dancing requiers strong abs, a really big stamina and much dedication. And if you're talking about competing in a sport, you have dance contests. So actually you're saying dancing is only a sport when you're doing dance contests? If you're running every morning but never do contest you don't sport? don't think so.
I have had my point shoes sence i was 7 years old i am now 14 and this is definitly something. It's new and its exsiting. The classes in point I take are really kinda boring. And all of you that think this isn't real ballet art your just intimidated because it is really good and someone should be proud of this type of dancing. This is fun exsiting and they are still using the all ballet steps. They just put there own twist on it. :) i personaly love it!
Loved this performance. So sad I did ballet when I was 10 for 1 yr and quit. Never did ballet again... but I want to, I am almost 24 yrs old, a little old to start it but whatever. It will help me with my posture in figure skating. Anyway, this performance was awesome.
Not the usual ballet I'm used to watching but it's very good. The last couple - ?? if they didn't like it they could have just sat down. See their faces - ungracious alright!
have you ever noticed that in the very beginnin, the very first frame, her ballet shoes are white, but in the very next frame and for the rest of the video, they are red? just noticed that and i've seen this like a gazillion times! i love this video!
@nanaelricFMA I'm neutral. She was a dancer but as far as I know not a primaballerina. Anyway in the movie she is not supposed to be very good technically. She is constantly criticized about her turnout, etc. But she gets this opportunity in a more modern ballet because she's passionate.
@throughthenight12345 trust me, im a ballet dancer. all ballet choreography has a storey regardless of how clear of literal it is. this is not ballet - its commercial jazz /contemporary with a little tiny bit of ballet technique thrown in.
Hi , well im without words this video is fantastic , i like everythinkg of this also the music jeje. I have a question, what is the name of the movie???
This is the first version of this dance that I heard and I actually prefer it so stop saying that this music is crap and be thankful that this user has uploaded it !!!!!!
im a beginning dancer but i cant figure out how to "spot" while you turn, but since seeing this i feel im going to try harder than i already am to get it right! thx for posting this
She trained in Hawaii too!! Yeah she's not an actress...but thats the whole point of the movie. 'HEY! NEWS FLASH, there's more to being a dancer than perfect technique.'
This is from the Movie "Center Stage", you can watch in to youtube... In the story, she gets the role because she was dating and slept with the choreographer...
