May I ask why, or the historical reference on why the girls are expected to tear up their feet to go ‘on pointe? The boys seems to be able to craft the same art without the same expectations of being ‘on pointe’?
idk if this answers your questions but back in the days men were usually doing more floor work and jumps, while girls were suppose to be more graceful and there was always a desire for women to appear weightless and floating hence the pointshoes
That is the way the sport is, you dont like it or are not willing to meet that requirement then dont do it, they like it and are willing to do so that is why they are there, also doing point is fun, if you are saying this you probably never have done it or dont even like ballet.
