Full goggle test of the WileyX SPEAR seated on a dummy face (MIL-PRF-32432(GL), clear thermal lens used. FSR's fired at 310-322 FPS at ca 1-1.5 m. FS T15 Gen4 used during this test. The goggles withstand multiple direct lens hits. Small paint splatter was noticeable after several fire sequences and was caused by left over water and paint around the frame from earlier washes. During no fire sequences did the frame separate from the lens nor was any paint or shell debris hitting the eyes of the dummy.
!Always replace your lens after a direct hit!

Hej, vi har inga planer på det i nuläget men finns det ett större intresse kan vi absolut planera in en video 🙂

I won't trust them... I saw a guy on the field who got a lense shot and the lense "detached" (was still in the frame) itself... a second shot would have cost his eyes... he never used the combi again...

You don't have to. Which brand was he using and how were they connected? We've seen many many masks and lenses shatter, problem was they were cheep knockoffs.

That's good. You should play with what feels best, it's each player's choice.

A center in Montreal, Quebec already banned mesh mask because there was an incident, and the owner said it would probably extend to all fields soon.... I have no details about the incident if it was really something dangerous or the owner's fault

We hope the accident was of no severe nature. Do you know what brand or how that mask was used? There are many risks involved in Paintball and faulty or wrongly used gear is one of them.

Hmm, I'd like to know about this too. I play mainly in Paintball Mirabel (30ish minutes from Montreal) with a JT goggle and mesh mask combo and they've yet to ban it. I only play outdoors but it would make more sense indoors to ban considering the chaos and distance.

@@LtKevin your eyesight is one of the most precious things you have. But clearly if using the right equipment the right way you're safe. Remember First strikes were globally banned and still are in some areas. It's up to how protective each field owners is and that you have to respect.

Could you please show or give us some tips on how to make that pair of protective googles and mask? Did you just use thermoglue to hold them together?
@WarheadsPaintballOfficial
@WarheadsPaintballOfficial 4 года назад
We do not as of yet have a guide on how we fuse the two parts together. But in basic terms, the mesh is sawed to a snug fit. The heavy duty or metal stripes secured the mesh to the goggle. At the same time construction glue is used while merging the two. At the seam (inside and outside) a elastic sealment is used to ensure no gaps and that paint or moisture won't compromise the glue. As a final step a fabric strip is glued along the seam as yet a layer of protection and as estethics.

@@WarheadsPaintballOfficial Hi. Interesting Thanks. How did you secure the mesh with the metal stripes exactly? Or is it only the glue that holds the mesh and goggle together?
@WarheadsPaintballOfficial
@WarheadsPaintballOfficial 3 года назад
@@BartGoem Hi, it's secured be removing the fabric edge at the top of the mesh and looping the stripes through the mesh and the goggles. Then the glue is added as a second layer of security and filament. Lastly the fabric edge is put back over the seam as a third layer, both for esthetics and further protection 🙂

@@WarheadsPaintballOfficial Thanks. You did use metal stripes or filament? And did you bore holes in the goggles?
