This feels like a weird fucked up dream in which I mix up a bunch of memories and thoughts, "Oh yeah, just browsing the 80's synthwave morrowind youtube videos, of course" BUT WHEN I WAKE UP IT'S REAL IS THIS AMARANTH
you'd think the fanbase for a game who's plot revolves around religious purging, racism, and theocratic fascism wouldn't have a great sense of humor. But you'd be wrong, the Morrowind Shitposting community is absolutely amazing, they're like the r/prequelmemes of the Elder Scrolls fandom. Shine on you crazy N'wahs, shine on!
sillyfreeman It's really the opposite people it's more of like satire, as a joke. Unless they are a kid (I mean good for them for trying out some older games when they could easily play prettier, and less wonky games), because they take everything a bit more seriously, but after a while they _usually_ learn it's satire. All in all the Morrowind community (while joking around) is just a Switshow for satire
@sillyfreeman; it doesn't attract literal fascists, just you're incapable of reading satire or roleplay. Whilst a fascist theocracy is a cool and interesting setting for a game, that doesn't mean that we advocate for those ideals. Nor does roleplaying an Ordinator mean that I'm in favour of punishing wrong-think with death. People seem to forget that these are roleplaying games that are satirised and shitposted on the regular, and instead take everything seriously. It's quite sad.
The glittering, neon lights of Neo-Balmora make the town look like paradise on earth. But it's more like hell, and the Septim reigns supreme over the city. HlaaluCorp has extended it's control over the city, and the streets are no longer free. But a new cyber-prophet speaks to the masses over SothaNet. Speaks to the oppressed and downtrodden, he calls himself the "Sharmat" and speaks to them via electronic dreams. Tells the poor chums that soon Morrowind will be free of HlaaluCorp. And this new gang, the Ascended Hackers, speak of dreams, of sleepers awoke, and preach the same jib... They're gotta be linked to this chum. Too big of a coincidence, if you ask me. This is where you come in, outlander- ride the night, and find me some ALMSIVI-damned clues.
Man, i love these songs but they do make me a bit nostalgic/sad. My deceased older brother loved the elder scrolls and introduced me to a lot of 80's/synth y music and RU-vid itself . I wish he were here to experience this
Vehk would've partied harder than his muatra when he was younger. I can see him dancing up a storm loaded on skooma after a long week of petty crime with his gang. This is some great imagery. Thank you.
I can see it.... The Nerevarine and Vivic riding a silt strider at night, this playing quietly in the background while Vivec charges a staff. They briefly stop, and the Nerevarine disembarks, and contacts Almalexia... Hello. Almalexia. Nerevar? I need to know something, Almalexia. The way we used to be together. -I don't mean lately, but before. It was real, wasn't it? Yeah, it was. You bet it was.... Nerevar, what's wrong? Nothing, Almalexia.... they get back on the strider, and continue to Red Mountian to face Dagoth Ur
So just to clarify for people, I adapted this from the script for the "In The Air Tonight" scene from the pilot episode of Miami Vice (Brothers Keeper). Here is the scene for refrence... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-E1o-NWNmQLM.html (the scene starts at 0:45)
Joseph Ellis, well it is the most recent entry in the series, and it is the most popular as well. Further, I dunno what you're talking about with specific RU-vidrs- Camelworks has worked on Morrowind; He doesn't do much with Morrowind anymore due to the fact that he's covered a very large amount of it. Just look to his half-hour Morrowind Easter egg video or his Uncle Sweetshare video. He also has a fair amount of videos on Oblivion, like his video on Hackdirt or The Sunken Ones. The whole crux of your argument is this obvious fact that Skyrim has more content to cover, hands down. Whilst Skyrim may not have as many quests as Morrowind, it certainly is larger by size than both Morrowind and Oblivion, has more locations and a denser concentration of those locations. The only size Skyrim is lacking in when it comes to the map is cities. Further- whilst it may not seem like such on the outlook- Skyrim has far more of a grasp upon personal stories than the other TES giants. This is all despite the fact that Morrowind and Oblivion are just too old to catch a wide audience, which is unfortunately the deciding factor on RU-vid- views.
Becouse I might be incorect but the thing that makes morrowind great is the lore, gameplay wise its... well... paralysis... Therefore you should probably focus on the more lore related youtubers, I personaly prefer fudgemupet, and guess what, they have covered The Tribunal, Vivek, Dagoth ur, the ordinators, the good deadra as a group, every good deadra separatly...
He appologized and prostrated himself before Kirkbride and Sawyer. He admitted that he was a terrible story teller and gave them free reign to make the greatest story based, single player experience of all time... And then we all woke up.
This makes me nostalgic for the days of drinking a cold flin down in the foyada with the boys. We'd get shitfaced and throw kwama eggs at the n'wahs and cliffracers.
I know it's probably suposed to be Divayth Fyr, but I like to imagine it's a version of the Nerreverine. Him and Nerevar facing oposite directions to symbolise the reluctantness to become this other person, and the masked fear of loosing his own Identity. The tribunal gods lurking over him as giants, he knows how powerfull they are, and that he will have to oppose them, and finally the Sharmat. Always dancing in the center. Always whispering in your ear.
Its definitely Divayth. I'm guessing the bottom right is Indoril Nerevar. In game what the Nerreverine thought was left very open. While talking to Dagoth Ur at the end you even have a choice to admit that you don't even think you are the reincarnation of Indoril Nerevar.
With "STAR", you made me wanted to start playing Oblivion, and I actually started playing it for first time. Now, after this, you are making me wanting to play Morrowind. Thank you, for this beautiful creation, and all the videos you make. I TRULY wish you success in this life, and the next one in Sovngarde, my brother.
This morning I was playing grand vice City on my phone then a few hours later I played morrowind...... Now I stumble upon this..... Brilliant.... Greeeeat job
I swear to god fans of Morrowind are going to be making glam rock covers of this game in the year 2043 or some shit VVARDENFELL BOYZ THE REAL OGS NEVA STOP ALWAYS HERE LIKE DIVAYTH FYR
the funny thing is that this all would fit in an ES game so well! it's so weird that you're either a super hero, a rascal scoundrel or a satanic psychopath...
Yeah, your character, recently convicted wrongly for dealing crack and on his way to jail, suddenly the police escort is hijacked by some gang, they ask you who you are, character creation menu, Todd Howard's fades in, it was Skyrim in disguise all along.
Next week, a special guest arrives in our fair town. An unknowing hero, fresh off the boat in Vvardenfell and already an audacious thief and murderer. Destiny's got big plans for this one, though, and so will *all* of the local guilds, in due time. What could possibly go wrong? (Clip-show of the Nerevarine fucking up a ton of thieves' guild jobs) *Literally everything.* See for yourself, next time on Balmora Vice.
I absolutely love all of your stuff, the Sheogorath album- Amazing, Baurus album- Awesome, Dagothwave was literally the most beautiful thingy i have heard but i think this one is your best
Shezzarine (The Dragonborn) has gotten the news from Nerevarine, Vivec has come back to murder all Dunmeri people and Nerevarine. They meet in front of an Unknown Dwemer city, where they find an automobile engineered by Dwemer themselves. They ride it in the sorrowful night, while this song echoes upon Nirn from Aetherius, to meet Vivec and end this once and for all. They can see silhouettes of the Keytargonian himself across the sky.
I like to believe that in an alternate universe Bethesda released Morrowind 2 and it takes place in a retro futuristic world with this song playing in the inns
i was listening to this in the back ground, thinking it was some random vapor wave, "like damn i gotta know who that artist is", but I tab over to see its from non other than MOTHER FREAKING Young Scrolls Lord and master of ElderScrolls bangers Your talents never cease to amaze me
