If all us O’s fans could just relive this year one more time, I think we would all be satisfied for a while. God do I miss this team and especially Buck!
As a Met fan I've been wanting a manager like Buck for years. We love him here too! Rooting for you guys to eventually make it back to the top of the AL East one day.
Well 2023 is looking like you can enjoy being good again 31 wins already after sweeping bluejays this weekend has me fired up just like I was during 2012, 2014, and 2016 especially 2014. Go orioles we back baby
I was a kid for the "Oriole Magic" run, which I place between 1979-1983, I remember the "Why Not?" shocker of '89 and thoroughly enjoyed the high priced teams of '96 and '97 (which I consider 1992-1997 because that core started winning in '92,'93 and '94). But this team is the most special to me. Know why? My dad. My earliest Os memory was DeCiences 1979 homer and from then on, the Orioles were me and my dads thing. We shared a great high in 1983 and thought itd last forever. Then came 1998. As the Os became the laughing stock, my dad grew old...and frail. We never thought we'd ever have orioles as winners to share together again. Then came 2012. The best Os team of the stretch was this one, 2014. My dad was diagnosed with alzheimers as well in 2014. I'll never forget when Jones took his lap, me and my dad were there, together, hugging. He actually cried and my dad never cried...a mans man for better or worse. Then Delmons double happened and we were eating crabs and drinking beer on his back porch. My dad JUMPED from his seat and screamed "STEVE!!! BUNKY.. WE DID IT!!!!". My dad hadnt jumped in ages. It gave us a winning orioles chapter to close out his life. He died in 2016, unable to remember 2014. But I do.
What was it... 35 years or so since they last won the series? Yeah, it definitely wouldve been nice, especially since the O's were picked 5th to clinch.
Man I really took for granted having a team like that even though they weren’t a World Series winning team they were something special compared to the 2019 orioles who i don’t know the names of any of the pkayers
lets hope they can find their bearings this year, its not looking great but still possible to make the post season, especially if the al east stays tight
I've also noticed that similarity. Orioles and Arsenal are both teams that can play at a very high level, but can't seem to find a way to win the title. Not everyday you find someone else who's favorite sports teams are Orioles and Arsenal.
Ethan Grubelich It is the most frustrating feeling in the world, just making the worse mistakes and things not going the way you want them to. And yeah, that's not a common thing. Glad to know there are more like me out there :D
And here we are today. 4 years pass and we are suddenly the worst team in the league. Majority of the guys in this video left or are about to be traded away. I miss these days.
