To be fair, Balto was (allegedly, there's been some accusations that Gunnar Kaasen's lead dog was actually another sled dog named Fox but that Balto had a better name and underdog story which the media latched on to) the lead dog for the team who made the final delivery of the medicine, but there were several teams who all put in a lot of hard work and effort to make the delivery. Togo and his musher definitely contributed a huge amount but the Great Race of Mercy was successful because of the efforts of 20 mushers and over 150 dogs and no one individual can claim to be solely responsible. But yes, if one had to pick a hero of the Serum Run then it would be Togo and Leonhard who covered the longest and most dangerous stretch of the journey and who performed some amazing feats during the run, including navigating a blizzard almost entirely on his own and preventing the death of his entire team and the loss of the medicine. Also, Curtis Welch deserves recognition for being the sole doctor in the town of Nome and doing his best to deal with an epidemic of diphtheria.

Another fun fact balto didn't save the children/Nome a dog named togo did

He was also neutered, so he couldn’t have had pups like he did in the two Balto sequels.

Ethan Curtsinger Steele was already a jerk to Balto. And besides, STEELE was the one who got his team lost, not Balto.

Well that’s because Balto not only still loved Jenna and also the fact that Balto beat him as one of the guys said “It looks like any dog can outrun him” (Steele) and I never said that Balto caused Steele and the team to get lost even though Balto is a kind wolfdog with a big heart he can cause some problems to Steele same thing for Steele even though Steele is pure evil, heartless, and can be a jerk which Balto used to thought that if he killed Steele then everything would be over but in fact it would just make things worse same thing for Steele even though he wanted to killed Balto just because of his 2 actions for what he did to him possibly 1 more

With Kron it was more understandable of his behavior as he grew up with probably more trauma as he had to watch his family die from the meteor and has had to face other predators his throughout his entire life compared to Aladar who was isolated on an island his entire life. So, to Kron he believed his ways was the best way to do things, we see he does have some care as he watches over his sister (she's the last of his family) and he did show little concern over when one of the younger Iguanodon's fell down (while he didn't stop he did look back and thought about it for second). I see Kron as a leader who has been to war and seen many deaths to the point he probably developed a personality where he chose not to care about what happens to others as a way of blocking the pain and traumas he has been through. Kron has never been regarded as a villain compared to Steele where who is only concern with his image and ego.

Because the scene where Steele was outran by Balto, his owner wonder if Steele was losing his prime and a random person believes any dog can outrun Steele. Because of this, Steele hated him since he slightly ruined his reputation.
