Bam Adebayo Rips Media For DPOY Voting | Believes He’s Carried Miami Heat Undrafted Filled Defense 

Michael Beasley has only ever lost a 1v1 to Bam. He spoke about it on the OGs Podcast. He said "Yall don't know how good Bam is." UD and Mike Miller both said, yes, they do. Beasley says, "No yall dont. Yall get this MIami system Bam, which is still a 100-200million dollar player. Bam is a point guard stuck in that big body. Its blasphemous that he doesn't get 30 shots a game. If he takes 8 more shots a game he can average 30 on 50% shooting easily."

For the sake of keeping him out of a supermax deal its good lol but he's absolutely deserved it

in the usa canada exhibition game canada was cooking curry lebron and embiid in the first quarter and the momentum only switched when ant ad and bam got put in. ant and bam had great chemistry and bam was arguably the most impactful player in the first quarter. they wanna talk abt ant cuz hes flashy and don’t get me wrong he was playing great but bam was all over the court involved in almost every sequence offensive and defensive. definitely one of the top players for usa in that game. i’m really hoping he stands out this olympics and gets more of the respect he deserves.

Bam 🤯 is so good and so underrated but after this season the youth movement and era of Bam will be here I expect him to be around 20-25 ppg this season honestly 😮

Bam is one of those players you need to see play to understand his defensive impact. Unfortunately the defensive stats aren’t there for him, he often gets taken out of the play by other teams (who understand his impact) or he has to cover up for another defender. He’s often cleaning up everything on defense. How many times do we need to bam switch on a guard to have them pass out or end up in a bad shot? The Heat have been undersized in all positions and Bam’s been carrying this team defensively. He doesn’t get the blocks because he’s undersized and often helping out while trying to defend him man. Look at last nights Olympic showcase against Canada. Bam’s defense and boxing out lead to turnovers or easy rebounds for AD. NBA awards should be voted by Coaches and other NBA coaching Staff who have to scheme against players, maybe even have a player voted award, the media has their bias and agendas. Bam was definitely robbed when Smart got the award.

My fear is that Bam is going to move to the 4 and think he's Chris Bosh all of a sudden 🙄 I am NOT INTERESTED in watching him shoot four 3s every game.

If Kel'el gets to be the starting center Bam might not be the biggest vote getter on the Miami Heat.

Bam should win DPOY. He’s always the best defender for both teams. He stifles the Heat’s offense anytime he touches the ball.

"Doing a lot on defense" because Spo designed it that way doesn't equate to DPOY. Secondly, The Heat were the 26th worst offense in the league last year, partly because Bam refuses to shoot the ball when open or back down obvious mismatches. Instead of unintentionally throwing his undrafted teammates under the bus, he should be worried about that under his captaincy, the only teams the Heat scored the ball better than were the Pistons, Hornets, Trailblazers & Grizzlies.

I love Bam, but is he the Captain or not? Is he supposed to be the best player at least during the regular season or not? No offense, but no one cares about the 5th best big man in the league, when 3 guys ahead of him are comparable defensively, but leagues better offensively.

Love Bam but his defense is overrated. He can absolutely guard 1-5 which is special but his impact at least statistically is lacking. He doesn't stand out when it comes rebounding, shot blocking, or steals. He's good at all those things, but not great at any of them. For ex. he was absolute no show defensively against the Celtics in the playoffs this year. Nearly every Celtic that played finished the series with more steals and blocks than him. He needs to quit whining about dpoy and let his game do the talking.

Until Bam defends Jokic and Luka well, heat has no shot at all

He literally threw his team under the bus. Right after getting a 3 year max extension. I'm tired of the free passes he gets. On an elite team he isn't an elite defender. He plays on a team with almost all terrible defenders minus Jimmy when he actually tries and caleb and Highsmith in spots. There's a reason no other teams fought for caleb or Highsmith. We literally bid against ourselves to keep Highsmith. I'm glad we did but seems like we could have offered 2 years at 8 mil and still kept him.

Bam should be pissed at Butler for coasting and needing to be carried by Bam.

Bam whines so much about DPOY… it’s embarrassing. Let your game do the talking and stop begging for awards. In that way I wish he was more like Jimmy, and on the flip I wish Jimmy played all the games like Bam does
