I feel like a big portion of this is a friend telling another friend “dude, you have achieved so much and you should be so proud and you rock and please love yourself” and that’s great
@@steveotelevision you both have lived a great life and the best thing about it is it's all on tape for generations to come thanks you guys for that you two are legends.
True, but it's also easy to do when the guy you were so jealous of is now close tp rock bottom. While some can see it as building up, i think the same amount of people view it as constantly telling him his time is past.
I think he’s actually his sponsor now. Or if not officially that, he talks w him daily and visits him when in rehab, etc. So he’s reallly been a good friend to him. Hope Bam starts paying attention to the way Steve-O lives his daily life. Can’t be remotely easy, but he works hard at it, got his life together, and has come out the other side for the better.
He really is. It's amazing how much they've grown & become such amazing celebs. Steve-o wants to open an animal sanctuary and be known more for that than even jackass.
Steve-O has mastered the ability of "building someone up" and i love to see it. Loved ya for years Steve-O, glad to see this level of enlightenment you've reached
Nothing but love for Bam! Be strong and come back for us Bam ❤️. Lots of love to you also Steve-O. You are such a good friend! Bam needs good friends right now.
Patro: I was thinking the same thing! Bam really seems down and not his usual self, not very talkative at all, but there was little moments where Steve- O could ignite a little spark and you could tell Bam wants to let a spark blow up into a fire but he is just not there yet... I bet once all the guys get back together it will have a huge positive impact on Bam...
Couple years back when Steve was earlier in his sobriety you could tell he was being overly proud of himself while passively shitting on Bam. Glad to hear that’s changed.
@@nothanks5520 Jeff Tremaine even says in his podcast with Steve O, that CKY was groundbreaking the way Bam edited it. Because it was just stunt after stunt, he then did that with Jackass.
Would love to see a follow up with Bam. Its clear how much your trying to uplift him in this episode. i found myself pausing this episode loads to find youtube clips of the things you were talking about. Thanks for the walk down memory lane.
I hope bam knows how big a part of everyone’s lives he was and how much everyone would love to listen to his music and see him and work again and just be in a good place in his life
When you all make money together like they did.....I cant relate of course..alll speculation lol.....it just connects you on another level ehen you have partied with the same crew for so long and soo many good times.....everyone truly care for each other....if thry werent..Steve O was gonna jump out his apartment window
Really feel for Bam. Could tell how awkward he felt at times due to the anxiety he’s clearly suffering from. He kept it together well on this video, I love the dude he’s actually a really good guy. Glad he’s staying off the drink and drugs now, because it makes him really bad.
If he's been staying clean like people have been saying, then it's clear in this interview that he is still getting used to living a life without drugs and alcohol. He is somewhat awkward and slightly uncomfortable in this interview, probably from being on camera w/o being fucked up for the first time in years. He's obviously still adjusting to a sober lifestyle but is pushing through it. He's still in the early stages of sobriety so you can tell withdrawals and the huge life adjustment has taken a toll on him. It's good to see him be himself in this interview tbh
Wait.... Bam is not a "good person". It's pretty clear he has always been a brat and an abusive bully to his friends and family. Bam is a lot of things, but a good person has never been one of them.
@@dustinf11 he's not overall good, but he has the potential to be good and he has shown that potential before. Considering how he managed to hold his marriage and with his kid for like 8 years. No matter what, he deserves the opportunity to become the best he can be.
These guys made my childhood. I watched every spin off show they each made and viva la bam was great. I hope bam the best and hope things turn around for him.
It made me sad watching this podcast with Bam you can see he misses being healthy and truly happy. The old Bam is still in there he just needs to remember who he is and realize he’s capable of coming back. Hope he will someday. Sooner than later.
Bam has always been using drugs, but it isn’t until now that he’s been shunned upon for it. Him and practically the entire crew were using alcohol and/or other substances during the filming of Jackass skits. There were many dangerous stunts, and some used substances to help rid themselves of the anxiety and get the stunt done!
When someone you're that close to dies some pepole never truly recover. He used drugs to numb the pain of Ryan dunn and honestly I feel for the dude. Money is useless when you're lonely and unhappy. He could surround himself with a crowd but if you're feeling like part of you is missing that feeling of loneliness won't go away. I really hope he can find some peace and be happy
Sebastian Ziegenbein I feel like Bam was really into Steve-O beimg so positive and flattering to him. Bam always seemed like a low self-confidence guy, and those people often need a lot of flattery and affirmation. It’s not a negative thing, it’s just how they relate.
I hope Bam can look back at this now and feel the amount of love for him in this conversation. I know there's some fuck shit going on between him and the boys but I hope he knows how much love is there for him
Damn, the two different sides of the struggle. Two very different stages in addiction on the screen. Shit is sad, but regardless, I love them both for the years they have entertained us for. From viva to wildboyz. RIP Ryan.
I’m still absolutely shocked at the collected, articulate and mature person Steve-o has become. I mean he’s still a nutter but in a different way... Out of all the Jackass cast I always thought he was the least likely to get his shit together like this. Serious props Steve-O.
I love Bam, really do! Feels like I grew up with him, his friends and his family ... if that makes sense. Really wish him all the health and happiness. Such a talent.
I agree but Not everyone wants the fame and people talking about them. After his whole life I think he just wants to live a normal life which I understand.
@@nothanks5520 he absolutely does not want to live a normal life and thats the problem with bam he keeps wanting to go back to the "glory days" i wish the best for him.
Dude Bam had me drawing heartagrams on everything in middle school and I was a big HIM fan. Bam is still the biggest rockstar when it comes to skateboarding, Love seeing him healthy and smiling.
Bam you the man! You've given this world so many fond memories and moments of joy, i hope you find your own joy! You got this brother keep your head up.
Viva La Bam was legendary man there was no other show like it ... Bam is in a dark hole right now he needs to realize what greatness he put out to the world
Imagine him and Steve weren't so fucked up on drugs through the years they could of owned all of these RU-vid pranksters and stuff like as a management thing, these were the ogs
Love this lads. You guys have made so many people happy over the years and its a pleasure to see you both. Bam your a legend dude, i hope things start working out for you man.
Tony didn't have a crippling alcohol addiction tho, not an excuse really more just an observation, one guy has never stopped skating plus skates mainly vert his whole life, the other skated street mainly, did Jackass for years and also has alcoholism, Just sayin you can't really compare these 2, they were never really in the same league. Bams dope tho he's done plenty of badass shit. If you need too compare ppl compare Tony Hawk and Bob Burnquist.
I really hope to see Bam back on the podcast in person when/if he gets it all together. I know all of us fans who grew out of that stage of life just want to see him better and thriving again.
I'm so glad to see him doing well. I just found your podcast, Steve and I have been devouring it for the last few days. Corey Taylor, Jon Davis, Tommy Lee, Mrs. O (I love her so much). Great show. Nice to see YOU doing so well too. I love your podcast.
Let’s talk about how humble Bam is? This is basically an hour of him getting praised, complimented and reminded off all his great achievements and he just listens, smiles and laughs. He has such a good soul. I wish him the best in sobriety. He’s awesome! Can’t wait for Jackass 4. Gonna be dope!
It's great to see him so composed and at ease. Weird at the same time though. I'd only ever seen him trashing his house or hitting people in the nutsack on Jackass and Viva LaBam.
@@Nick-qm7qc or treating others like shit constantly. I like bam but now that I'm in my 20's I went back and watch stuff and im like really? And he knew he could get by with it because he was the one who was famous and rich. Getting rich off the suffering of others I know Brandon Novak done some very very bad things and robbed him and such but I still kinda felt sorry for Novak especially in the where the f is Santa the toilet on the ramp and then they literally raped him with a animal penis and that was disgusting and humiliating they used his addiction against him for gain.
I don’t see it that way. I see it as strung out and lazy. I mean there’s no reason he shouldn’t be making money like Steveo is. Bam just ain’t with it no more and it was sad to hear.
@@s_shaddows.4939 I would agree, I always felt bad for Phil and April because they were so nice. But at the same time it's hard to know how much of these shows were scripted. I would also be curious as to how much money was in their contracts to appear in the movies, TV spin-offs, promotional appearances, merchandise, etc.
Bam is a true legend. Really hope he can get better and be the best version if himself. He has so many people waiting on his return. Having these two together again was a nice nostalgic moment for me
He did and the direction was horrible. The posts were his lame music videos and promoting merch. Then it just sort of died off. A revamp and better ideas and the right team would do well.
I actually couldnt stand bam back in the day, always loved knox and steve o but thought bam was all for the fame, i was probably wrong but that was just the vibe i got
@@hylasgeist1568 this is years later tho man, i mean ya for few months after your gonna be a wreck, years later then obviously something else is going on.
@@marked4death076 how are you going to put an expiry date on someone’s grief? that shit is PTSD and if you haven’t dealt with it properly then you carry it on and on. Bam self medicated this whole time. He didn’t deal with it.
True friendship 100%. Awesome to see Bam looking truly happy again, it's keeping in contact that helps people when they have tough days and Steevo your the man to keep his chin up and between you both you've got amazing ideas which will help each other for many many years to come.. Keep up the good work fellas! All my very best wishes from the UK 🇬🇧🍻👍😎
I'm 29 and I was the same. Bam was my one big crush. My best friend and I had a big plan to make a rd trip from Tenneessee when we were older just to somehow try to see Bam. We liked them all but Bam was our number one for years. I really enjoyed this episode. It's so crazy to think back on now.
Damn, you can truly feel how Steve-O tries to motivate and inspire Bam. Such an awesome guy. Bam also looks much better now. That album he put out is also indeed pretty nice, I had no idea about it. Weird Bam says he has no youtube channel, as the music videos for that album are on HIS channel :D
"lets get old as hell!" gots me tearing up ...I really hope you guys get old af n i hope bam is doing good right now. You guys have meant a lot to me through my life and I've lost friends and even parents who are younger than you guys now. Please keep getting older and enjoying the success you've achieved
Man I miss the old times growing up in my early 20's when Jackass came out. RIP Ryan Dunn, always will miss you. Glad to see Bam Margera is coming back. It's been a long rough road. Glad to see Steveo doing good as well. What a privileged time to be growing up!
I swear I was looking up stuff about steve-o and bam like a year ago on youtube tyring to like catch up on where they were and never got recommendations for this channel. Thanks for making this happen man, these guys are both legends
Bam is so wonderful and so funny. I wish him the best. I would love to meet Bam for a few days and just hang out and go hiking and talk with him about life and how he’s doing. I want to see him feel better for himself.
20s! Oh I wish, I'm in my 30s! Come back to me in 10yrs about time passing. How old were you you watching these guys?! TV show was decades ago now! I've literally seen them from teenagers to middle age, now that's terrifying. But yeah it all goes quick,. Trust me it just keeps going ::quicker
@Tom Fletcher yup :) also young 20s complaining about time passing and age! 🙄 Not on my watch missy! :P 😊 RD old guards here thank you! watching as children on BBC 2. 9.30pm Fridays wasn't it? Lol respect to the 30+ brigade ✊
@Tom Fletcher haha omg lol me I confused this with another video I made a post on!! Haha wow see now that is age! Ignore the RD reference 😅😂🤣. (edit. In case your British & might know what I was talking about RD is Red Drwarf a Sci Fi space comedy from my childhood 😂)
Thats my sons name he was born exactly 1 month after Dunn died everyone thought I named my son after Dunn from jackass. When he asked my why I called him Ryan I told him that was the reason just to wind him up 😂
As an alcoholic, I can tell you that I understand how bam feels, and it’s sweet that Steve-o is trying to brighten his soul but reality is, it’s harder for us to watch our friends become healthy and sober, and makes us sadder because we aren’t able to achieve that success, so we drink more.
Sorry but you have no idea how he feels. Just because you had one experience does not mean that everyone with the same problem had the same experience, or feel the same. Everybody is different. He might look at Steve-o and realise what his life can be like sober, we don't know. Although i do see your point mate. I think it's probably like that for most people
@@tomek6132 Yes i am, sober 4 years. So i need to be an addict to say that you should not say "ALL addict need/feel like this and that" ? All i was saying is that everybody is different, and everybody works differently. Different motivations and inspirations etc. Thats kinda like saying you can't criticize politicians if you're not a politician.
Steve is such a good friend, notice how he carefully chooses his words when complimenting him because he knows the struggles that Bam is going through and how some words can hurt you more than actions. Also it was crazy how Bam's figure and everything changed when Steve-o mentioned Ryan, shows how much it still affects him.
@@stillamitchinmybook6320 at 50:07 when steve mentions the Ryan Dunn shirt. It's small, but you can tell that the mention of Ryan to Bam is still hard. Like it brings back memories.
I was addicted to drugs and dealing with mental illness at one point in my life ,steve o's demise and rise help change my life ..I cried watching it because it was like watching me...I'm such a huge fan of the jackass crew I feel like I grew up with them so when I see Steve o and bam go through their demons and get better it's not just motivating it's like watching family.idk if steve o reads his comments but I just want you to know it changed my life for the better.🙏🙏🙏
I still am in the struggle but getting so much better & close to clean a lot of it is down to Steve-O & Bam! Well done dude, be proud of yourself I hope to follow in your footsteps!
Steve-O it was so nice to see you and Bam chopping it up and it is extremely nice to see you guys supporting one another like you do after all these years, through all the tragedies that have happened. You should know that you two guys along with the entire cast brought so much cheer and laughter into my life and so many others that I had the honor to serve with while overseas, you guys even inspired us to do some silly and crazy stunts to pass time! You really did help us get through some dull moments. (I only speak for myself, but I’m sure many others will agree.) Take Care, I am so happy to say it is nice to see your podcast, I do have some catching up to do now that I have found your channel.
I grew up with these guys! This makes me long for the nostalgia! I remember when THPS was released, CKY videos were coming out, Jackass was just getting off the ground, I had pizza rolls in the oven and I was flipping tech decks in the back of class everyday! I feel so old now! 💪❤ Much love to everyone who grew up the same!!!
Something that blew me away was how much older these guys were than me. I thought they were all my age and they were all 3-10 years older. And I had no clue until Bam got in all his trouble last year.
Blockbuster actually carried those? I remember seeing CKY at a friend's house pre-Jackass, it was one of those underground copies of a copy, like how 2 Live Crew's "As Nasty as They Wanna Be" album was passed around in school in the early 90s. I wasn't even sure what it was, I thought it was some kind of home video one of their buddies made. I couldn't have fathomed a respectable chain video store carrying something like that.
About the hotel they were referencing to, let me quote Ryan Dunn. "We got the mini bar pried open, we were doing shots, there's a couch on fire floating in the pool and Dave England is naked." I guess that says it all.
I'm watching at the end of 2021, what a great interview. I was a teenager when Jackass came out & I'm huge fan! I want to send mad love to Bam & Steve-O on their respective journeys, different stages but still a big inspiration to me in my life struggles. One day at a time is all we can do, & consistent, true friendships really do keep you going & it warms my heart to see that here with these dudes 🤍
I just found this podcast and you tube. I’ll be watching every ep. I’m binge watching them now. Bam seems so mellow and Steve O is his hype man. Great friends!
I really hope Bam keeps it together. The man borderline knocked out Steve-O to get his ass into treatment. I don't care what anyone says about him - that's a friend. We need him at his best, and that's where he deserves to stay.
Fun little Bam anecdote. I grew up in West Chester where my friends and roamed the streets like a pack of feral cats, skating and making mischief (thanks in part to the local influence of the CKY crew). The first and only time I was ever arrested, I was pulled aside to speak to an officer while two of my friends sat on the curb waiting for their turn to be questioned. When I went back to the curb, my friend was going on and on about how he saw Brandon DiCamillo wearing a fake beard and driving a fake taxi, with Bam following behind with a camera that he turned towards my friend getting arrested for a few moments. For months I thought he was fucking with me and it started to drive me nuts how insistent he was that this happened. Lo and behold, Bam drops a movie called Haggard some months later, and it features a scene with DiCamillo wearing a fake beard, driving a fake taxi.
Steve-o is def an amazing person! I love this podcast so much! His memory is amazing first of all. Second of all I love how genuine he is. The way he just lifts him up is wow!! I never listen to podcast but his is cool!
The people wanna hear from you bam. We all love you. Make that RU-vid channel if you haven’t already. I’m a little late watching this lol. I’d like to see him doing interviews like Steve-O , I think he’d be amazing. 💞
