Hey Volks! Here is a more formal video shot 16:9 on correct carpet installation for your Vintage Classic VW Beetle BuG. Been meaning to do this for a long time, so here it is. I tried to condense the time on this one, so I assume you know how to "GLUE." We just use 3M 90 Spray Glue, BUY HERE amzn.to/41KsL8v If you need our floor board insulation kit, Grab it HERE www.classicvwbugs.com/classic-vw-bugs-floor-pan-sound-insulation-4-piece-kit/ Back Seat Backrest Carpet Installation ru-vid.comKqwAC5oF-tM?si=pAa4NeZaWzbMnfnK
Chris I can’t tell you how much I appreciate this video. I have a 65 beetle convertible and bought the exact same kit from West Coast metric and I was pretty stomped about how to handle the vinyl gluing and cutting and the interface to the carpeting and you literally spelled everything out that I was looking for and you also did an excellent job by reviewing the different stages with your camera work to see exactly what you did again really appreciate it and you have fantastic channel!
I wish your videos were out 30 years ago. I "Tried" this while in college. It didn't go very well. I always enjoy your videos and look forward to more. I hope all is well in Florida.
I just installed this same setup from WW on my Sea blue 1964. I used the salt and pepper synthetic carpet with the gray rubber mat. Very happy with it. Thanks Chris for all your videos they have helped me so much
I love the rubber floor mat set. Is it possible to buy the 4 piece rubber floor mats without having to buy the entire mat set?? I know some of the new Beetles came with 4 piece floor mats back then.
Great video as always, Chris. Wondering if you need the sound deadening pieces if you’re using Fat Mat or Quick Roof type of self stick deadening material? Thanks!
