Just purchased a bamboo steamer and they don't give such instructions so thank you for informing us. It irritates me that manufacturers don't bother to send proper instructions, specially when it comes to getting rid of the chemicals. Thank you 🇧🇷

I got my steamer about a month ago and didn't prepare it like you did here, or oil it because I didn't know....there was no info about how to season etc. I've only used it a few times so I will go ahead and do this pretreat/season process anyway - better late than never. Your advice is very logical.
