In reality, it's probably like 30 minutes to get in running if you want to achieve excellent printing results from the beginning. I also recently got an A1 mini (no combo). It's only really ready to print after calibration, which also takes a good 15 minutes (As you see in the video: 5 minutes for vibration compensation, 7 Minutes for motor noise cancellation). The printer itself is still f... awesome and quick to setup!
@MCFIXIT
@MCFIXIT 3 месяца назад
I think that’s why my print wasn’t perfect with the first one. But still much faster than previous brands to unbox and get started with the first print. I did the calibration, vibration, and moot noise after and had good success with all future prints

this helped me find the spool holder bracket which I thought I didn't even get. thanks for doing a proper unboxing instead of it being just the printer u unboxed all of it including the accessories

I bought an extra one because I didn’t know it came with one. They really need a “what’s inside the box” on their website.

@MCFIXIT

Yes, it’s super straight forward and you can have a lot of fun from what’s just programmed on the SD card from opening the box. They took a lot of the guess work and frustration out of printing by actually creating a printer that nearly ready to print after taking it out of the box. Mine hasn’t stopped printing since I made this video. The least amount of flaws and fails ive ever experienced too. I’ve printed probably 100 items and had 2 fails and 3 or 4 flaws…. Which is awesome!

@@MCFIXIT yep, it seems like a super reliable and easy to use printer! I've printed before and made my own models but calibrating and taking care of a printer has always seemed daunting until I saw the A1. Glad you like it as much as I hope to do! :D

My first prints using the included PLA filament came out perfect for the Benchy and then the scraper tool.
@MCFIXIT
@MCFIXIT 27 дней назад
Yeah, I’m sure mine would have too. It took a few mins to realize I needed to increase the standard time for PETG filament since there wasn’t an exact match with branding. Once I did that it’s done awesome with that type of plastic ever sense!

5:10 for those following along, don't take that foam out just yet. That way at 8:14 the bed doesn't slide when you flip the printer upside down. Might help.. Might not matter, but might be easier with less moving parts :)

For those having trouble logging in because they keep asking for your ph# and pw.. Uninstall the app and redownload from the actual store not the QR code.

I was really surprised that yes, almost, definitely if you don't do it for the first time. And the WLAN thing is awesome. A couple of years (or decades) ago you would have spent weeks getting sth. that complex to work, install drivers and stuff.

Yes I know. It's amazing how well this things works for the cost. I wis I would have known about Bambu Labs a few years ago when I spent a lot of money on a few other printers. I am a big fan now and saving up for my next printer right now.

@@MCFIXIT Hi, there. Why the benchy is so rough? It's because of the PETG itself? Thanks for the video.

@@mikekiske yes, I did not have the temp high enough. You can see many more of my prints on my channel that come out clean. I've only had a handful of bad/failed prints in over hundreds of successful prints. I'm really impressed with this printer

How do you feel about its build size? Was it good? I know it’s small of course. But does it feel small “constraining” or small “enough”? I am anticipating mostly prototyping for IoT and miniature printing but I’m a bit nervous about getting the mini. Though the size and weight of the machine itself makes it a really attractive option as an international student who most likely will be coming back home in a couple of years (hopefully by then I’ll get a bigger machine but better to be prepared)
@MCFIXIT

It's really great. I have only come across a few things that I wish I had a larger printer for. But the 180x180x180 is pretty good sized. I am starting to save up for a second Bambu Labs printer, and I'll probably go with the P1S or X1C, depending on how patient I am. Overall, the quality of this A1 Mini is great, and for smaller prints, it works like a wonder. I've had the least amount of misprints on this printer over any other printer i've owned in the past.

WOW! I have an ender and it takes 15 minutes to get a print to work right and took like 3 hours to set up. I might be looking to upgrade. That bed looks kinda small though. What size it?
@kennytashro3072
@kennytashro3072 4 месяца назад
Yes the Bambu labs printers just hit different. I had Creality before I upgraded to the p1s and couldn’t be happier. The A1 mini is a small bed at under 200x200. But great for small prints but if want look at grabbing the A1 it’s 256x256x256
@MCFIXIT
@MCFIXIT 4 месяца назад
@Kennytashro3072, thank you so much for answering this question by @jammiesgotarun8071. I agree it's so much better. I still have a CR6-SE and it's just collecting dust now. The built plate is a little small, but that's good for almost all of the prints I've ever done though. I like the compact design and functionality of it!

Another video says that you have to lubricate? Was this step skipped?
@MCFIXIT
@MCFIXIT 2 месяца назад
Yes, it gives regular intervals to lubricate and comes with a tube in the box. It takes about 5 seconds to do on the Y axis metal part. I thought I did that in this video, but apparently I did not. I've been printing non-stop since I made this video and the system has told me to do it three times since.
