im 60 due to a 35 year old half an ounce felony. They say I can't own a gun. Yet I can get a security license in Tennessee to do security on UT campus. So the Judge thinks im Good enough to protect his kids on campus but not mine at home.

THE US SUPREME COURT NEEDS TO PUT THESE UNCONSTITUTIONAL LAWS TO SLEEP ONCE AND FOR ALL!

It would be awesome if these would just come up in my feed when something happens that actually changes something. It's 25 videos all talking about the same cases at the same point of the process.

1 st it should not matter if a person mad mistakes in his or her per. If they did what ever time then they should be aloud to have their rights back, ITS A CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT for all American. Personal i feel what we are doing to crimes is being decimated at people with a record. They should have right to protect their family their self and the right to hunt for food. ( But they have to pay taxes not Right give all felony their right s back)

I don't agree. If a person has a past of being spontaneous and violent then they should be prohibited from owning firearms. If it's non violent then, yes, the rights should be restored.

So does this mean you will now insure claims if the claimant is a felon in possession?

Good question
@Merc399
@Merc399 2 месяца назад
no, its means its going to the supreme court for them to decide, then if they decide in our favor (im a felon) individual states will immediately pass their own laws defying that decision, then someone will have to challenge one of those state laws, then THAT legal dispute will have to slowly make its way up the courts to the supreme court, AND the supreme court will likely reject the first on some sort of standing clause (pretty average) which will mean the whole process will have to start over again but eventually. We're looking at 3-15 years realistically 3 years would be if god himself came down from the heavens to speed things up lol. we'll probably both qualify for expungement before we see this ruling through

Politicians break laws all the time, the courts have rules against the continuation , since these judges were sworn in. The rights are thee for a reason, but somehow, these judges are allowed to take rights away? The problem, is that these are very few people who actually protect the people’s rights!

I was advised back in the 80s by a paralegal who told me I could own a gun with a nonviolent conviction however he was only expressing state of residence law. In 1989 I was arrested by ATF for lying on a 4473 and convicted in federal court in 1991. Once bitten twice shy, if this goes through for all nonviolent felons I'll get certified documentation from a legal authority about my eligibility before attempting a NICS check and filling out another 4473.

States have a process for both nonviolent and violent offenders to obtain rights to possess a firearm. However, it has to be granted by a Judge through a hearing. My Judge said he is not giving anybody that has had a previous gun charge gun rights. He approved many others and I was denied. Hire an attorney and you still may have to try twice.

UNITED STATES MARINE: (From Boy to Man/Husband/Father, to Grandfather) 50 years ago was my (3rd) third Non-Violent/Victimless DUI ... (Simple pullover arrests!) All offenses were VOID OF VICTIM, INCIDENT, ACCIDENT, and DAMAGED PARTY. After serving (6) years as a front-line Marine during the Iranian crisis (1979), (Before having a wife, children, and grandchildren) the return to civilian life (Honorable Discharge) was difficult... Can the Bruen decision help this 67-year-old United States Marine regain his gun right for family and home protection after 50 defenseless, prohibited years based on nexus with 18USC(g)(1) (g) It shall be unlawful for any person- (1) who has been convicted in any court of, a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year; When DUI arrests have NO victim, NO incident, NO accident, and NO damaged party, the 2nd Amendment "Right/Privilege" should never rightfully be "eternally abrogated", ever! - USMC (Semper Fidelis) SGT E-5 (5811)
