Banana Pancakes Recipe: Dry ingredients: 2 cups all purpose flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 3 tablespoons sugar 1 teaspoon cinnamon Wet Ingredients 1 teaspoon vanilla 2 cups milk 1/3 cup sour cream 2 tablespoons melted butter Bananas, cut to small pieces Directions: 1. Into a large bowl, combine the dry ingredients and in a separate bowl combine the wet ingredients. 2. Slowly pour the wet ingredients into the dry bowl. Give it a couple folds just until combined. Small lumps are okay. Set aside for 10 minutes. 3. Heat a nonstick skillet or griddle on medium heat. Add a bit of oil then add the pancakes. I used an ice cream scoop for portion. 4. Add the bananas on top of the pancakes, add as much or as little to your likings. After about 2 minutes and the edges of the pancakes have begun to brown, flip and cook for 2 more minutes. Keep warm in the oven while you cook the rest of the pancake batter. 5. To serve, drizzle some maple syrup at the bottom of a plate. Add the pancakes and top with butter, maple syrup and more banana slices (optional). Enjoy
Now I'm confused about what banana pancakes are. I thought it was entirely made of mashed up banana, but now I'm seeing that it's just regular pancakes with banana bits sprinkled onto it.
I was thinking how could you get banana flavor with just the pieces, but you solved it by saying you think it is too strong. Not me! I’ll stay team mashed & pieces bc no such thing as too much banana flavor for me. 😂
