@@bananaramafanclub3679 well she left the band of her own accord back in 1988.But it's kinda embarrassing cause we all know they were a trio. She just wanted to sing other kind of music. I always saw her as the most original and rebellious Bananarama member. And prettiest!
The third member of Bananarama was Siobhan Fahey. I hope she comes back one more time and yes, they wrote their own songs together with their producers, I think that Sara Dallin was the member and founder of bananarama who has dedicated herself more in the last decades to writing the lyrics of some songs
I think Mike Stock and Matt Aitken wrote and produced the bulk of their songs that were the big hits. They were under Stock Aitken and Watermen SAW who produced a heck of the big hits during the mid to late 80s. SAW had about 13 No1s and countless top 40 hits from a shit load of artiste like Kylie and Jason, Rick Astley, and many more. They were so good at writing hits ''I should be so lucky'' was written, recorded and mixed in just 3 hrs. They didn't even know Kylie was booked in and nothing for her to sing so they asked her to sit in the café area whilst they made the whole song. They often knocked the likes of MJ and Madonna of the top spot and scored No1 hits. There are dozens of songs you know that they wrote without realising it.
Have you been living under a rock? The first (original) third girl left in February 1988, her replacement in summer 1991. You see how long Bananarama have been a duo now? For 31 years 😉
