"What just happen?" you say. That's called rock and roll in your face. Love your reaction. BANDMAID is a breath of fresh guitar rock that's been missing for decades.
Don't miss Band-Maid OFFICIAL LIVE STREAM tonight April 29 at 10pm EST it's going to be AWESOME!! Be there or be square :P Best rock band on the planet right now!!
You just stumbled on my favourite band in the world. They are masters of feel-good rock, and we all need an excuse to smile at the moment!!! Try the tracks "Moratorium" or "Real Existence" (live of course) for more maid action.😁
they have well over 50 great songs in the last 6 years-they are a musical force to be reckoned with-they write all of their songs since 2016-most by lead guitarist kanami tono a musical genius-cute and kickass all at once. not what you expected from japanese girls that look like that,eh? the music video for the song 'dice' is one you really want to check out.it really highlights the members skills.
they really have an incredible talent for music when i dig into them! i mean all i ever listened to for the last 15 years was metalcore, heavy metal, doubledrum heavy shit. Then these 5 fucking maids from japan come around :O when i managed to get over the langauge, i found how truely enjoiable they are to listen to. and damn, the japanese lyrics are really growing on me aswell, NEVER though it say that, haha :D
@@henrik998 yeah and the funny part is i never would have thought that japanese language would go with hard rock that well but it really seems to fit. it intrigued me just because it sounded cool and now i'm looking up translations a lot. it also helps that they mix english into all the songs
@@henrik998 and if your a metal head you need to listen to lovebites-another 5 member japanese girl group.power metal that will melt your face if you haven't heard them already watch the videos for shadowmaker and when destinies align-gorgeous girls that shred
Only discovered Band Maid this past summer and was lucky enough to catch them in concert in NYC. First song I heard from them was "Take Me Higher" and was hooked. The live version has a great back and forth between MISA on bass and Kanami on lead guitar. MISA has some bass slapping skills. Here is the link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vFyYiPDZzdw.html
Great Rock n Roll is safely in the hands of 5 highly talented and beautiful ladies from Japan. The maid outfits are to create the "Gap" which is very popular with Japanese bands. The gap being what you see (demure maids) and what you hear (Hard Rock n Roll). They write, arrange and produce their songs. All were working professional musicians/singers prior to joining the band. They toured in Europe and the US last year all were sell-outs. Here in the US we are waiting for their return. Everyone BE SAFE, sheltering in California.
Gotta love Miku falling off the bandstand at the end of her challenge to her guitar teacher, Kanami.. Epic Miku...and, remember, this was song #21 in a 22-song set. Miku (lyrics) and Kanami (music) are the Lennon and McCartney of J-Rock. What you are witnessing is the ascension of the best working band in the world at this point in time. Once they hit the major Japanese Dome Stadium concert tour, they will dethrone SCANDAL from their #1 position in J-Girl Rock. Both bands are epic. And, welcome to the rabbit hole we call J-Rock.
Thanks Tauri. Cool name by the way. Love the sound and energy these lovely ladies generate. Thanks again. Their songs "Moratorium" and "Rhinne" are a little heavier if that's your cup of tea.
Not too surprising for us fans of BAND-MAID, because your first reaction to them is exactly how most of us felt too. I've also subbed. Hoping to more of your reactions to BAND-MAID. Try Dice, Onset, Puzzle, YOLO, Alone, Play, Blooming, Rinne, and the many other suggestions in your comments section. You won't regret getting on board the BAND-MAID express! Stay safe and keep reacting to BAND-MAID!
Band Maid is super, hyper, mega talented rock band, one of the most prominent all-female band in Japan right now. Their only incapability is that they can't make one bad song, from the first time they appeared until now. Love your reaction, please react to more Band Maid or if you want, please check one more all-female band from Japan called LOVEBITES. Check their song When Destinies Align, you won't be disappointed.
Tauri hello, Recently discovered Band Maid myself. They are like a very good book you can not put down. This is a very good band that brings a smile. Subsribed.
If I had a gun to my head and had to pick my 5 favorites, these 2 songs would definitely be in my top 5! Or top 10 at least! Definitely top 20! Anyway, those 2 songs are for sure among their best! I really think so!
Jason Nord The Daydreaming MV has some gorgeous aesthetics, but I prefer the live Studio Coast version for Kanami’s beautiful piano intro!💪🏻🤘🏻 Daydreaming (live Studio Coast) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wTAXAVErogk.html
I have been a Band-Maid fan for for over three years and I can honestly say that I have never heard a bad song by them. This video is probably their best and has convinced me that I NEED to see them live.
I appreciate your honest reaction, moreover, to admit that this isn't your cup of tea, but the musicianship is out of this world, this band has 2-2:30 hours gigs, they are flawless, they can make even well-establish musicians blush...whatever you do in life, there will be always a 100 lbs. Japanese girl that can do it better than you. Misa is amazing, check out Play, Puzzle, Moratorium, Don't you tell me, Take me Higher...all live! Actually, whichever song you choose - you won't make a mistake! I love it when a band is as good as or even better live than in a studio...these girls are amazing, I discovered them several months ago and since then...I am completely lost in the rabbit hole Band-Maid
Welcome aboard, Tauri. You are embarking on (along with many others) an awesome hard-rock journey with 5 incredible women. Here's my intro blurb for those who may be new to Band-Maid: BAND-MAID’s songs and sound beat with the heart and soul of rock n’ rollers. But you’ll also hear heavy influences of Punk, Metal and Pop, with nice touches of Blues, Funk and Grunge. Sometimes they use multiple genres within the same song. Their Composition, Execution, Consistency (nearly 100 songs with new album, “Conqueror”), Uniqueness, Charisma, Charm and, oh yeah, Cuteness factor, position them as becoming the hard rock Beatles of our time! In other words, they’re destine for mega-stardom. Each member's personalities are super interesting and their musicianship among the best. Their writing, arrangements and overall sound, especially guitar tones and drums, are kick-ass! Having seen them LIVE, I can honestly say their performance, sound, stage appearance, and band synergy is off the rails spectacular. Band-Maid is the only band in decades where I love nearly EVERY song they’ve done. I have over 50 favorites! "Thrill" (2014) is a great place to start: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Uds7g3M-4lQ.html Their later songs drive even more - Rin’ne, Blooming, Moratorium, Domination, Clang, Dice, Spirit, Turn Me On, Fate, Play, Hide-And-Seek, Secret My Lips, Puzzle, Glory, Choose Me, I Can’t Live Without You, and on and on. But don’t miss out on their powerful, beautifully written, mid-tempo songs like Daydreaming, Anemone, Endless Story, PAGE and Smile... or more punky like Don’t Let Me Down and Screaming… or funky like Bubble… or bluesy like The Dragon Cries… or poppy like Start Over… or cultural like the Band-Maiko series! And many are represented with over 20 well produced music videos. ru-vid.com Most performances should be experienced from their LIVE concerts such as Tokyo's LINE CUBE SHIBUYA on February 14th (sample “Domination” ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QbyQCJn6rYg.html), ZEPP 2018, Shinkiba Studio Coast 2017 and some of the better 2019 tour Fan vids. Here’s three of what it’s like to see Band-Maid LIVE at super intimate venues. The first taken by Vladimir Chupin in Hamburg: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-__1th7ctgMo.html, the second taken by JT Dayo in LA: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4uIYBkAybCI.html, and third, JOSER8845 in LA: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-usWZvlGGDSs.html. If you like Band-Maid, make sure to support them by purchasing some concert tickets, CD, DVD/BD & Merch, etc. bandmaid.tokyo Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid. For fun, check out an awesome, little known "Mega Band-Maid Mix" by DJ Ray of some of their earlier stuff: facebook.com/djrayboston/videos/1004709499579009 Band-Maid members are: (Ages are best est.). Saiki Atsumi “Ice Queen" - Lead vocals, arrangements, melodies and High Priestess mediator between the Gods (Band Members) and the masters and princesses (Fans). At 26 and the youngest, “Sensei” (Leader) as Miku calls her, has the last word on many musical decisions. High-heels or sneakers, Sai-chan’s smile melts away the persona. Her charisma, performance and voice focus the experience. Miku Kobato "Small Pigeon" - Rhythm guitar, vocals, lyricist, 28 years old. “Koba”, as Saiki calls her, is the Band founder and a firecracker MC & PR SpokesPigeon, po! Her “Magic Spell Time” charm and energy ignite the room. Kurrupo! No, no, no… KURRUPO!! Kanami Tono “Princess” - Lead guitar, keyboards, 28 years old, is a prolific writer of most Band-Maid material. Kanami (translates “Song Wave”) is a possessed riff-slayer who’s so damn adorable it hurts. The only thing you want from Mincho is more! Akane Hirose "Gorilla" - Drums, 29 years old, band energizer & co-clown with MISA. Achi’s talents include massive consumption of noodles and bananas, of course, (even during performance!) while revolutionizing rock drumming with relentless drive, dynamics and the kick. This “DrumRilla” is the Party! MISA "Assassin" - Bass, 27 years old. A sullen, barefoot, dark spirit driving her 5-string bottom-end to hell and back, off-stage MISA is the band’s goofball ballerina. The Mysterious One literally kills it… every note.. uniting Band-Maid’s world-class rhythm section. A slug of JB, a slight grin, and let the slappin’ begin… MISA! MISA! MISA!
What a performance for your "Maid-en" voyage with these rock stars. Before this video dropped, I'd already been a big fan and seen them live several times. They got so much better in the short time since Oct 1 when I last saw them live that my jaw dropped.
I think you'd like Onset (live), it is an instrumental which is a show-off piece for the Band-Maid instrument players (giving lead singer Saiki a little break during a concert). This is the link to use: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-roP4HFlGBUI.html
Three points to ponder:.a) your post has 500 likes and zero dislikes 2) you will seldom if ever read "l went to a Band-Maid concert and it stunk and c) since l am one or the lucky few who saw them in LA last September l can personally attest to number 2. Sacramento loves Band-Maid.
A few to choose from.... BAND MAID Don't you tell ME (live) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-foqErbEw05o.html BAND-MAID - PLAY Live ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YeiIju_t1D8.html BAND-MAID - Moratorium Live ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-N7BQCkUb4SI.html BAND-MAID - Puzzle Live ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3OuO0pgCBUo.html BAND MAID - ONSET LIVE ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ud0pxII3YwM.html
They are ridiculously good. My second favourite Japanese band. You HAVE to watch "ONSET live" It's an instrumental, but the guitar and bass solos are BRUTAL.
Another one falls to the Power of Band-Maid! Ryan Mear said of the band, "No matter what style they play, it's in their comfort zone. And they will rule it." Suggest Daydreaming & Anemone for a softer more ballad style. Like the harder stuff? Try Matchless Gum for a towering, over driven rock sound. Want some pop? Miku is singer for Rock in Me.
If it weren't for the stereotypes and prejudices of American media, this band would be launched to mega-stardom just in America, let alone other countries where they have hardcore fans. These ladies are serious musicians who love their craft, and the energy they emanate shows it.
Other bands? Baby Metal and their song Road of Resistance Live in Japan, their epic masterpiece. A 17 yr old commands the crowd of 20,000 with just a wave of her hands. And another band would be The Warning Band and their song The End (Stars Always Seem to Fade). Three teenage sisters being epic.
Thank you for nice reaction. I recommend Live "Turn Me On" (Zepp Tokyo) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KOtHLjV5cNo.html "DICE"(MV) & "YOLO" (MV) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZpAYnVJX9CY.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wKZbzcUdY1g.html "On set" (Live) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ud0pxII3YwM.html "Don't you tell ME" (Live) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-foqErbEw05o.html
I you enjoyed the solo "battles", then this is an obvious next one to see, "Don't You Tell Me" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-foqErbEw05o.html They are incredibly talented musicians who always put on a great live show, usually around two hours, but sometimes longer.
Like I tought, you're speechless on their talent. Yes we love to see more reactions to Bando-Maid. My recommendations: Moratorium(live), Blooming(mv), Onset(live).. Now try the Band Lovebites - When Destinies align /,,/
Yes! If you like Band Maid, but prefer heavy metal, then Lovebites is a must! I'll leave a link to "When Destinies Align" below.....and yes, please....more Band Maid. You'll get a lot of suggestions. Choose any! They don't have a bad song in their catalog. Lovebites "When Destinies Align": ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hLFelI93VkM.html
You should listen to Don't Tell Me (Live), Real Existence, Rinne (Reincarnation) and Moratorium (Live). You won't regret it. Band-Maid are one of the best bands I've heard in my 40+ years of being a music addict. They are definitely in my top three of all-time favorite bands.
There are NO bad songs from Band-Maid. Who knew rock had moved to Japan and donned Maid outfits? These girls are the best all around band there is. But once you exhaust yourself on them you will find it doesn't end here. Check out Lovebites, Unlucky Morpheus, Asterism, D_Drive, Aldious (Bozio's daughter on Drums), Doll$Box. Just so many.
Thank you Tauri and I am glad you enjoyed my favorite band. I look forward to your next Band Maid reaction! Here is just a few you could follow up with in no particular order. Check out The Warning Band. A three teenage sister rock band out of Mexico lots of great live original. Thier the best Power Rock Trio in decades. Try Dust to Dust Live from Lunario CDMX 👍 Tauri enjoy the Warning 😊 new subscriber 🤘 They have 34 original songs.😊 .
More all female band of Japan : Mary's Blood:Heavy and power metal Galmet:Melodic death metal Exist trance:Alternative metal Gallhamer: Black metal Zettai club: Power metal Lovebites: Speed and power metal
Uh, how could you leave out SCANDAL (the #1 J-Girl band in Japan for about 13 years) and Shonen Knife (who were Cobain and Grohl's favorite band and who basically founded J-Girl rock)? LOL You also left out YUI (Flower Flower), Tokyo Jihen, Stereopony, DOLL$BOXX, Polkadot Stingray, and Silent Siren.
Almost all J-Rock/J-Metal has some pop element somewhere in the song it seems.... Band Maid does this exceptionally well...:) Currently my goto band, but if you continue down this road...the talent in Japan is seemingly never-ending! I'm at the pount mow where I'm looking at Western bands saying to myself, ya'll need to step up your game..... ok, some hyperbole there, but still.... Check out Lovebites - The Crusade... All female J-metal
Now, groove to one of the original J-Girl bands from way back in the day. The Yamano Sisters (Naoko and Atsuko) and Risa on drums...Shonen Knife...live concert at Audiotree in 2018. Almost 40 years of rock and roll from these ladies. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-teARti4vEUA.html They toured the UK with Nirvana and Cobain and Grohl absolutely idolized them. Cobain actually used to cry watching them.
@@stephenchigwidden7504 Naoko turns 60 this year; Atsuko turns 57. They are still touring with the Naoko, Naru, Risa in Japan...with Atsuko replacing Naru on bass on overseas tours.
@@Pattoe I guess that's in the UK somewhere and in a densely populated country like that iff all they can hope for are small clubs then the chance of them ever coming to Australia is let's face it pretty much zero. I keep putting their name forward every time a reactor says tell me what to play next but they don't play them and then in the next reaction they again ask for suggestions on what to play next. It makes me angry you know they have checked to see how many views other reactors got (not many) and so they just ignore them. We need a reactor that wants to promote good music instead of chasing views and subscribers.
@@stephenchigwidden7504 I think the issue with reactors is more of a RU-vid problem. If they do lose views on a single video, RU-vid punishes them by damaging their SEO, making all their videos lose views, meaning the reactor's reach is damaged and they will not be able to promote other bands as well.
*****NEW TRACK***** The Ghost Inside. Aftermath. Four years after the tragic tour bus accident. The band just released their new track and video with an album on the way. I didn't think they were ever going to make any music again, with the drummer losing his leg and most of the band having to learn to walk again and two unfortunate deaths. This track holds an amazing sound of heaviness and sadness competing against each other. "TRIUMPH OVER TRAGEDY" indeed.🤘❤️🤘
Band maid suggestions will be plenty so I will just suggest something very different from them. But from the same country and with a unique sound, Versailles - Faith and decision ( m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AdhfE6ITfoQ.html ).
Looking at your reactions to other artists it appears that you prefer things a little on the heavier side. If that's the case then I'd suggest the MV for, Rinne. These girls did get you a new subscriber so I'm hoping that you give them another listen.
Hey Tauri..excellent that you are reacting to Band Maid.. then I have to recommend you: The Warning, the sisters from Monterrey, Mexico and they can definitely Rock... I'm mostly a metalhead but this 3 are amazing, I'm a fan of them now. Try their song Dust to Dust live. Here's the link ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TeIbG8nkOiU.html Cheers and Rock on!
Without knowing what type of music you're into it's hard to suggest which song to react to, but since you've done a LIVE song I'm going to suggest the Music Video for 'Blooming' . . . ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uUt_JBMocKM.html
