This song is about their dream of world domination, meaning that everybody in the world knows their name. That's why lyrics go "rise the colors, fly the flag", "make it echo throughout the whole world" saying Hello! or tell'em "no, no, no it's not a joke" like telling us maidiacs to spare this good music they're doing as much as we can. The only thing I'm 100% sure in this life is if I were a pirate, my ship would have their logo all over it, the flags raised to the top. Also yeah they like to keep their live songs loyal to the original mvs but they also like to implement new stuff on it, like that fantastic drum solo on Freedom Live (cof next one cof)

Band Maid Is hard rock, with other elements thrown in! Play, Freedom are a couple more songs from this concert that are not to be missed! These ladies really come alive in front of a crowd! Band Maid adds things into the songs to make each performance unique and special for the crowd! Doesn't diminish the greatness of the song, just makes it better, imho! I bite down on my pain if I don't get to hear Band Maid every day!

Nice job. Band-Maid is their own genre. Nothing else compares. Their live performances are the epitome of live performances. Always a joy to watch and rewatch. I still can't get enough. It's an amazing feat they've accomplished. Peace.

Whenever I tell people that Band Maid is the best band to come around in decades it's not "over hype" or "fan boy" talk, it's fact! It took me a very long time to come up with my list of top 10 Band Maid songs, and believe it or not this song is my #10, what does that tell you about their catalog of music. I am (of course Gary) going to suggest my personal favorite and #3 Band Maid song..."Secret My Lips" and of course if you do it everyone is going to say you have to do "Secret Maiko Lips" Double reaction maybe??? 🎶🎸🥁🎸🎶🔥🙂

@@xagorvangard well I took a lot of things into account, but my main criteria was how well written the songs are. that is how my personal favorite came in at 3 instead of #1.

@@Bekka_Noyb I am not surprised actually, there are probably 20-30 songs worthy of being in anyone's top 10. this one cracked mine once I heard the instrumental version, plus it's kind of their "mission statement" song.

Ha! So now you know what we're talking bout!! Yep, giddy is the right word - next word will be addicted because they really are that good, and the more you hear the more giddy you'll be, because it will seem impossible that one band can have over 100 songs and they're all great! The genius of Kanami's music and Kobato's lyrics are simply astounding, and all the members contribute. And kudos for the plug for peace, love and positivity.

giddy is a good word their music makes one smile wether they want to or not. what's really crazy is they have a catalogue of over 100 songs and i have yet to find 1 songs where i think "that one isn't very good". i can't think of a band other than The Beatles that is so consistently good at putting out great songs not only that but the songs are way better when they play them live in front of the Maidiacs

I would say they represent the best of rocknroll, with emphasis on hard rock. They have elements of progressive, see No God, Moratorium. Punk rock and metal is also there, at least elements. Check Rinne and Afterlife. Real hard rock in Manners and Dice. And of course the best of the best, Puzzle.

Thanks for another great reaction. This song always makes me so happy. Kanami and Miku are so cute when they have their little guitar battle up in front of the drum kit, there is something about two little ladies dressed as maids rocking out like that. The teacher emerges victorious with her hand held up in victory while the student takes a knee at the end. Thanks again, brother.

They have been known to change things up live, typically on some of their older tunes, but when they do it's to make it more interesting and better, NOT to get sloppy and do something poorly compared to the studio recording. Example: "Freedom" live February 14, 2020 where they were seemingly jammin' (to be real, they practice everything), complete with a drum solo in the middle and a transition over to Kanami's guitar that is just magnificent. Value-added stuff. Like they did here, only more. How are they this good? Talent, a quarter-century plus of five lifetimes developing those talents, and a work ethic of unrelenting continuous improvement. If it is practical to do, they will do a full rehearsal where most groups are lucky to get everyone to do a coordinated sound check. When learning slap bass, Misa practiced until she had bleeding blisters on her fingers, then they got the call that studio time was available. So... she went in and played that thing anyway. They are badass committed to be this good.

Hi 👋 from the UK 🇬🇧 something you might like to check out the band is called Nightwish it's a symphonic metal band from Finland 🇫🇮 with a Dutch singer floor jansen (the vakyrie) This band has a massive following in Europe and the Internet Nightwish ghost love score wacken open air concert 2013 And prepare for the Nightwish army arriving at the door 🚪 lol 😆

Band maid describe themselves as a Hard Rock band, but they have a very broad variety of songs. Some sound a little like pop rock, some have some hints of punk rock, and some are borderline heavy metal. This band is so talented.

As a former 91C30 thank you for your service. Band-Maid is for lack of a better term an indie band. The only one at this level in Japan and probably the world. People want to pigeon hole (yeah, it's a pun) this band and you cannot. Here is a direct quote from small pigeon: We are NOT a JPOP or idol band. Please judge us by our sound. Po! And you don't have to be a vet to love this band. Thanks for supporting them. Sacramento loves Band-Maid. Saiki sings but it is Miku who speaks. This is her story.

Next live reaction?…..”Real Existence”…..back off their first album, but easily one of my favorites. Love seeing you enjoying them. I’ve been looking for a new real good hard rock band, and I stopped looking when I found them. Too good. I would recommend even doing audio reactions. Especially off their last album. Last song, “Black Hole” is perfectly organized chaos. Love it!

Funny enough, they actually changed a lot from the studio version in this version. Little things like Saiki's growling a lyric, to big things like the mass of solos that aren't in the original. Except when they change things, it's for the better. Even their mistakes make the live version better. In "Play" Saiki tries to make Akane goof up, but gets the tables turned on her and she laughs into the mic at the start of the next lyrics. Just love seeing them interact and have fun on stage.

In my humble opinion, rock n metal are fully alive in Japan. All female bands: please LIVE BAND-MAID. Freedom...same concert. An outstanding drum solo. LOVEBITES. Holy War DOLL$BOXX. Take my Chance ALDIOUS. We Are MARY'S BLOOD Marionette BRIDEAR. Bloody Bride NEMOPHILA Dissension. I give you links but I'm old and technically challenged so hopefully you can find everything with what I've got here

You are GIDDY! That is what makes you a MAIDIAC!!!! BAND MAID's genre is ... BAND MAID (to quote P in D below). Every reaction video that I have watched (and there are a lot!) the initial reaction is usually for a band that they "sound like" and there is never a duplicate "sounds like" band. There is a little bit of everyone in BAND MAID. That said - KANAMI's favorite guitarist is CARLOS SANTANA - she has said quite a few times that she would like to meet him and that is why she plays a PRS! It is sad that BAND MAID had MORATORIUM pulled from RU-vid. That was my first video and I miss watching that one.

BAND-MAID Trivia: Rhythm guitarist Miku is lead guitarist Kanami's guitar teacher. Before BAND-MAID, Miku didn't even play guitar.
