This is said to be a song written as a roast of the bloke who cheated on their friend LiSA who is a stunning performer and seems to be the sweetest person. I think Saiki Atsumi the author of the lyrics and lead singer is quite close with her. Definitely worth searching "LiSA first take" for two unprocessed songs from her just accompanied by piano, beautifully recorded. Such a sweet person and the songs were both massive hits and themes from a major anime series. Really a "don't miss". Technically and artistically her performance is jaw dropping. There is a whole genre of singing specialists of both genders reacting to these in tears. "I don't normally cry but..."

Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 My wife and I witnessed this very performance at the venue on Nov.26, last year. We were in bliss going through very exciting 3-hour-40-minute-long show with 33-song setlist. (Happy fatigue thereafter 😄) The title of this song is interesting. It is not just "Hate" but "Hate?", with question mark. The lyric is a little bit contradictory or ambivalent. If the girl hates the guy so intensely, why she hanged around with him so long enough to know his daily behavior (10 minutes of limp gymnastics 🤣 etc.) Is she giving him the last chance to restore their relationship? That is the point I talked with my wife on my way home.

Yes, overloaded. That's a good description of the song, IMHO not their best structured song. Maybe you should check out "Alone" MV next?! Some other band recommendations? Believe it or not, Misa, the bass player is the shy, quiet one. Two times I've seen them live, and they are consummate showmen, perfectionist musicians, and very engaging. If you get the chance, attend a Band-Maid Okyuji; you will have great time because Band-Maid will have a great time entertaining you. Band-Maid has to be the happiest Metal Band on the Planet. Band-Maid hands out smiles to everyone in the audience.

The song is an assault on the senses - but to put that in some context it was the 27th song ( in a 33 song set ) of their 10th Anniversary concert at Yokohama Arena - so everyone there had had time to ease themselves in 😉. IMHO Band Maid are ( along with possibly The Warning ) currently the best Hard Rock band in the world . Their songwriting , musical ability and stage presence lift them well above the majority of other bands . They have reformed with a new drummer called 'Junna', who is incredible and a new singer, 'Nagi', and as for the guitar players...seeing and hearing is believing! You paused the solo right at the high point just to say how pretty they are??? Band Maid deserve much much better than this. Hopeless.

the overload comes from that there is no intro to this song, since they just played on from the previous song. so there was no breather live and you don't get it here :) and this was 2.5 hours into a 3.5 hours show. It was one of the best live experiences of my life (and i wasn't even there :( - just the livestream)

We like to say the Maids are their own genre. They are in fact on the cover of the Japanese Rolling Stone magazine this month. They have a goal of (peaceful) World Domination through music; and are on their way. They’ve toured Europe and North America before; they’ve stayed in Japan for 2014, but expect them to make a tour stop near you in 2025! The Maids are a remarkable collection of talented musicians who excel at every aspect of modern Rock music creation: Composition, Arrangement, Songwriting, Orchestration, Instrumentation, Recording, Production, Playing and Performance. It’s a bit of a joke with us Masters & Princesses (or Maidiacs, if you prefer), because, literally, the Maids are probably the single most PROLIFIC band at writing great song after great song - EVER. Almost all of their songs are so uplifting and inspirational... But, Not this song... I read somewhere that this song came about after someone got cheated on. And they are not having it. I particularly like the line about halfway thru the second verse describing this dude, "Ten minutes of limp gymnastics, Nothing much to it." Wow, how do you recover from that?

Band-Maid is categorized as "hard rock" for convenience, but since Band-Maid deals with a wide range of genres, it is difficult to narrow it down to one category. The reason is that each of the five members has slightly different musical tastes. Since we write songs by incorporating the opinions of all five members, each song has its own personality and there are no similar songs. Is "HATE?" a song that is relatively punk-oriented? Band-Maid currently has a huge collection of about 130 songs, so you will never get bored. Please continue to support Band-Maid.

I found you through Rammstein. But Band-Maid is the BEST live rock band in the world. Bar None. ALL of them are TOP TIER musicians, this was part of a 3 1/2 hour concert. Welcome to Band-Maid! The best hard rock band I have heard in my 58 years on this planet. While they don't class themselves as a metal band, they don't stick to any one genre and often mix genres in songs. They are extremely diverse and have an extensive back catalogue featuring Punk, Pop-Punk, Hard-Rock, Classic Rock, Metal, Prog, Blues, Jazz, Groove, Rap etc. From face melting 220 bpm punk-prog mayhem to ballads, instrumentals to acoustics they do it all. They can make you headbang, they can make you pogo, they can make you cry like a baby. They are also five of the nicest people in music, without a shred of ego. They are funny and fun and world class musicians to boot. They are currently into their 12th year with the original line up. Btw, Miku the rhythm guitarist (red rose) formed the band. She had the idea of Band-Maid after working as a maid in Japanese maid cafe's. Her idea is a concept called "The Gap" - that is what you see (cute maids) is NOT what you get (Hard Rock/Punk/Metal). They take the maid café concept literally. They call their concerts "servings" and their fans "Masters and Princesses". Oh, and Miku is an 810 year old small pigeon. Welcome to the pigeon hole Po!

Women power encapsulated in 5 awesome, talenetd ladies. Thiis is their 11th year together, all very good friends. They have a vast catalogue of songs 130+. from hard rockers sometimes straying into metal, Ballads, acoustic etc. They recently did a concert that consisted only of their medium paced songs, not many bands I suspect could do that. They have done 2 acoustic concerts, the guitarist Kanami (main composer) transposed hard rocking songs into acoustic versions. They are at their best, at least for me when doing it live.

What you think they are going to give you and what they then smack you with, is the "Gap," Band Maid my favorite band of the 21st century. Welcome to BAND MAID WORLD DOMINATION! I'm 60 years old and I love this band! I think their greatest asset is diversity. You cannot pin BAND MAID down to one or even two musical genres. You don't like a particular song? No problem. You still have 109 songs that sound uniquely different from each other to choose from. Pop, pop-punk, rock, hard rock, metal, prog metal, prog punk, traditional Japanese, even snippets of hip hop. I'll let others make suggestions. Buckle up and enjoy the ride!
