This is my MIDI cover of Band-Maid's "Knockin' on your heart" from their debut "Maid in Japan" album. This video features some of the oldest footage available of Band-Maid performing live (from early 2014). Enjoy! --D
This made me go find the original video you had playing in the little window. So fun. I love all the knowledge and tidbits of info that all the BM fans bring to the table. On behalf of all the newer fans to those yet to come please keep these MIDI songs coming and all the deep cut information coming.
Thanks Dean - so much fun watching the embryonic maids! Oh to be an early fan from that audience who have followed them from the start - although those pop-punkers may not have appreciated their musical progression. Love the dual vocals too - Saiki and Miku really do compliment each other. MISA looked so awkward in the maid outfit - she really had to discard it for barefoot black ninja assassin look to unleash her inner BASS genius me thinks!!!
Dean, again thank you for putting out this MIDI sequence on RU-vid. Early Maid songs, while not as well-known as their newer works are still white entertaining and fun. You can witness the joy on all the Maids faces as they perform the song live. Their energy is always contagious. I, like you, love Miku's head-bobbing energy on the song. You know she's really getting into a song when she does the helicopter with her head. I hope a lot more Maidiacs and other Band-Maid fans click on and subscribe to your RU-vid channel. If they do, they are in for a real treat!!!!!
Oh yeah when Miku not only didn't know how to play guitar she didn't even have one.😂 Thx as always, Dean, & to think Kentaro went on to write the awesome "Smile" :)
On Akane's snare, I "THINK" she was using a Pearl snare, with the Sonor rental kit. She didn't get the Sakae sponsorship until part way through recording Just Bring It, if what I've read is correct. That was when she also used the Sakae snare until she bought her first Ludwig Black Beauty when they went out on tour to support JBI. And I wish the Ladies would bring back the dual vocals for at least 1 or 2 songs per album.
