Saw Band-Maid in Chicago last year and Nashville this year. These girls deliver an incredible rock experience in their live concerts.

Maidiacs Incoming 🎉 Welcome to the Band Maid family. The happiest hard rock band in the world. As a 56 year old rock and blues musician who’s first concert was KISS in 1978, I will share only one ☝🏽thing today: You cannot grasp all these exceptional musicians do with less than ten (10) music videos. Their variety and depth is astounding. I call them “hard rock fusion.” And they’re one of the most important musical artists in generations.

This is ten years ago. Watch DICE/HATE (two songs) from Lalapalooza 2023 and you'll get a full blown blast of what they're like live. Best rock band on the planet at the moment in my opinion. I'm 72 and I love this band, they're incredible live. They have a huge list of songs and there's not a bad one on it. They are a genre unto themselves but if you like things more in this style listen to the MV of MANNERS. You can't go wrong with them but definitely watch their live performances. My second favorite band is LOVEBITES. If you like power metal you'll flip over this group too. Personally I prefer Band Maid but that's my taste in music. Lovebites is a terrific all female band too and I would suggest the Knockin' At Heaven's Gate tour video of HAMMER OF WRATH. It will blow your socks off.

This was their very first music video, from way back in 2014. They had been together less than a year at that point. I love their Music Videos, but in general the official live versions are better - they're great live. They feature the bassist MISA a lot, so you'll appreciate that I think. This is, BTW, the only music video in which she's wearing a standard maid outfit. She didn't like them.

Oh hell yeah, XG, babymetal, and now Band-Maid? Frickin awesome! This song was their make or break song. If it didn't do well, the label was considering pulling the plug. Thankfully, a J-Rock Facebook group posted it on their page, and it went viral! 10 years later, still going strong! Domination official live next! Their live performances will blow you away! Miku Kobato - mee-koo - Kuruppo, the Little Pigeon, the Little Engine Who Will - band founder, backing (and occasionally lead) vocals, rhythm guitar, principal lyricist, tireless Spokespigeon and PR machine. Wielder of weapons grade cuteness. So determined to see her band succeed that she fired herself as lead singer (she decided her voice wasn't strong enough for hard rock), then went looking for a replacement. Learned to play guitar after the band was formed. Kanami Tono - kah-nah-mee - Kanamincho or just Mincho - lead guitar, keyboards, principal composer and arranger. On stage, she's a savant mad riffer with a room temperature IQ and a huge crush on Saiki. In reality, she's a genius, and not just musically- she has a degree in economics with honors from Tokyo University. Akane Hirose - ah-kah-neh - A-chan, the Gorilla - drums, sequencing, snacks, the leader the band doesn't have. What you see is what you get- a cheerful jock with a huge appetite who burns off the calories murdering her drums. Frequently snacks between songs. MISA - mee-sah - the Barefoot Assassin, MISA MISA MISA! - bass, booze, occasional wet work. Usually stone faced. Barely acknowledges the audience's existence. Always has a beer or a bottle of Jim Beam on her Orange amp. Originally, these were ways of coping with stage fright. These days, that's just how the assassin rolls. Saiki Atsumi - sah-ee-kee (but Psyche is close enough) - the Ice Queen, Sensei, Sai-chan - lead vocals, some lyrics, the "We're done" girl. Fashionista and train nerd. In total command on stage; hides behind Miku off stage (she's actually kind of shy).

Man the bassist and guitarist are killing it but the drummer is killing it on that kit u can hear every beat clearly especially those punchy kicks ❤❤❤

Band Maid will finish up their 10 year anniversary tour late Nov. at The Yokohama arena. I understand it is almost sold out 17,000 seats. I have been following the girls since 2015. I hope you do more reacts.

Sir. I shit you not. Band Maid is currently the best band on the planet. Hands down. No close seconds. Really. No one even comes close to their musical abilities and the lead singer, Saiki kills it. Fact.

Now that's what I call a nice coincidence. I just stumbled across your videos on Babymetal and had already prepared myself mentally and morally to write a comment with recommendations that would have been led by these ladies here. Band-Maid are not only for me, but for quite a few, the end of the food chain when it comes to rock music. And what can I say, this video is now almost 9 years old, and you have not even scratched the surface of what these ladies have to offer. They are celebrating their 10th anniversary this year, have well over 120 songs in their catalog, and NOT A SINGLE ONE of them can be labeled as bad. I didn't believe such statements at the beginning either, but I promise you, it's true! Next "Real Existence (Official Live)" and I just say, you better take off your jacket beforehand! :) The best statement I read in the comments a few years ago is "America invented rock, England improved it, and now, Japan has perfected it." The amount of damn good bands coming out of the land of the rising sun that are breathing new life into rock and metal is pure insanity. This band has a SERIOUSLY dedicated following.

They are one of the best hard rock bands in the world. Every song is good 7 years ago they started writing all of their own music. I suggest Domination, Influencer, the Manners/black hole live, Moratorium and No God. If you want the best screaming metal, Nemophila and the best vocals since I see Kpop on your video list, the best vocals will come from Mamamoo. Babymetal you see and if you want really good Hindu folk Western metal mix, Bloodywood, you will be amazed by all of these groups.

You are a smart man. When something is trending on the internet 10 years after it started, you have found gold, not a one-hit wonder. This video has a strong anchor for a relatively small international fan base (they are not U2 Taylor Swift or Rolling Stones who sell out a stadium in 10 seconds). They are a bona fide organically formed band of Rock that by now is busy reminding us that the old idea of rock is still alive and kicking (especially after Kanami was unleashed (ha!) to write their music for the collective musical intelligence of the band members to feed into. I am deep into my 50s, man. You have found the best rocking rabbit hole in existence. These women by now (they are around 30 years old by now) are definitely NOT making daddy-rock. They are literally 5 women in maid-cafe dresses playing impossibly hard rock for fun causing us all to grin as they remind us that once, rock was pure fun and good (back in the 70s and 80s) - just like their mission statement was from the beginning.

Congratulations on falling into that pigeon hole on your first reaction....you have heard the first, now try their latest "shambles" which dropped a few days before their appearance at Lollapalooza....i saw someone mention their live version of "Hate?" Which is amazing as well. I found this band during 2020 and havent looked back. MISA is that bassist that is arguably one of the best bassists on the planet currently. The lead singer is Saiki and is the youngest. Miku is the rhythm guitar and 2nd vocalist....she founded the band, writes the lyrics and is the reason for the maid outfits. Kanami is the lead guitar and the composer of the songs....Akane is the drummer and is considered one of the best drummers in Japan as well

I was lucky that Baby Metal came to New York last month, and I got to see them. 2 weeks later I got to see Hanabie( you definitely need to check them out, too). I was hoping to see Band Maid, who are touring the USA as well, but they didn't come to the East Coast. I hope they come back here in a year or so. I need to see them live

Great group of very talented ladies. I started with hard rock/metal a long time ago when Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, and Black Sabbath all started...and this band has a great talent pool, world class musicians. Baby Metal is great at the theatrical/Operettic metal, Band-Maid is the Hard/Metal Stage band that reminds me of groups like AC/DC or the Foo Fighters....You can really pick any song for a next reaction, they are that good...and they are all different somehow. Super reaction for a start into the Band-Maid library.

Don’t sleep on Band Maid. Hands down my favorite band. This was early days and a fantastic song, but doesn’t hold a candle to their later stuff in my opinion. Definitely get to their live videos. They have a great many of them to choose from and none of them will disappoint. A few good starters to choose from would be Puzzle live at Tokyo Garden Theater or No God also at Tokyo Garden Theater. Or if you want a two’fer I’d recommend Manners and Black Hole live. The two’fer was from a live stream they did from when the world was shut down so you don’t get the crowd interaction, but still a great performance and the two songs put on a good display of the depth of their material.

Cannot do anything but echo everything already said in the previous comments. These women were my introduction to female Japanese rock bands. The rabbit hole goes deep here, though: Nemophila, Mary's Blood, Fate Gear, Lovebites, TRiDent, etc. But Band-Maid. When it comes to Band-Maid, I literally have physical CDs of everything they have released over 10 years. Thrill is their "new, baby, unfinished band" sound ... Kanami's (lead guitar) songwriting has gotten better and better and Kobato Miku has become a well-respected rhythm guitarist since Thrill (she had never really even played guitar before this M/V). MISA (bass) and Akane (drums) were always epic and Saiki's vocals. Well. Let's just say, she put so much into it that she had to have surgery on her vocal cords at one point and then learn how to really sing hard rock. These women are dedicated, and it shows.

Full body chills, head rushes, my shirt was stuck to my back with sweat after the track. The mv was for the song "Dice" and it's the perfect next reaction for you. Great reaction. Everything that is great about this band is on display here - soaring lead vocal, great backup vocals, thumping bass with solo, heavy drums and crazy brilliant lead guitar. It's a formula they improve on time after time. Suggestion for next Maid song is 'Blooming' - it's a jump forward in their catalogue but the lead solo is mind blowing and the complexity of the music/vocals is on a level not many bands can reach. And they've improved since that :)

I always worry a bit when a reactor chooses Thrill as their first song. If they love it, great… I can tell them that, unbelievably, it gets WAY better! If they’re not impressed, though, and they think it’s too simple, or not particularly special, I have to say please don’t give up… this is literally Band Maid with training wheels on! Obviously you’re in the first group! Band Maid is quite simply the best rock band to come along in several decades. IMO, of course, but I’m far from alone in that assessment. Lots of old rock and metal fans like me have been reinvigorated by this band! And it does get way better. Please check out the live video from Lalapalooza earlier this year where they play the songs “Dice” and “Hate?” back-to-back. You think Thrill got you going…

The best thing about this song is that almost everything they've done since this one is much better. You know a band has a great discography when a song this good doesn't even make my personal Band-Maid top 100. They're that good, and they're even better live.

Welcome to Band Maid :) I have the pleasure of seeing these ladies live twice in the states over the past twelve months. As others have said, this was there first successful video and gave them their start. I would suggestion Domination (live) as the maids sound even better live and after that, just pick a song, you can't go wrong, but I would suggest hitting up Manners (MV) and maybe their instrumentals of onset (Live) and From Now On (MV). (or can you try their softer side with Daydreaming or Wonderland) They only get better with each song you listen.

Exactly my reaction, lol Stumbled upon Thrill, was utterly in love instantly. Next was Real Existence MV and and then Dice MV. Immediately went online and ordered every single one of their CD's/Singles/DVD's and/or BlueRays. From that point on, I have haunted RU-vid every single day for the past few years watching anything and everything Band-Maid related. This may explain why I have "Triggered" episodes where exceptionally moronic Reactors or the like badmouth or have negative/fake responses, and I can't help but snarl at them hee hee. I do like this song, but when you compare it to their other songs its just ok. I do recommend you react to the official live videos, they are better than the official music videos. They sound even better live!!!!

One of the few songs that made me pick up my guitar and say " I HAVE TO LEARN THIS NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!!!!!!"
