So TW and B-M met at a US festival in 2022 and said they should collaborate. They got that opportunity this year. They went to Japan and played three shows, one with Band-Maid. TW traveled to Japan two weeks early to write/compose/record with B-M and record a MV. They then played it together at their one concert together. In an interview on the PRS channel, Kanami and Dany said that more collaborations are in the future and TW wants B-M to come to Mexico and sing in Spanish. Dany and Kanami play similar PRS guitars in the same color.

There seems to be some really good crossover between these two bands. By way of introduction The Warning are three sisters from Monterey Mexico who started playing together when they were children and who have now been making great hard music for more than a decade. With four studio albums, several live concert videos, we think there is plenty of material for you to choose from. They were independent for the first two albums (Kickstarter and crowd-funded), but are now signed to Lava/Republic records. This three-piece is: Daniela (Dany, 24yo, guitar) Paulina (Pau, as in POW-er, 22yo, drums) Alejandra (Ale, pronounced AH-lay, 19yo, bass) All three sisters sing, and all are classically trained on piano. The Warning have a sound that is both new and familiar. It is certainly hard rock, but clearly influenced by their love of classic rock, metal, punk, K-pop, indie, grunge, funk, and many other genres including classical music. But they have taken those influences and forged a sound that is uniquely their own, and you know that it is them. At the same time simple and complex. What does it sound like to me? Refreshing. A sound that has caught my ear and made me interested in rock again after 25+ years of the same old playlist. While together their combined ages are about the same as many of us fans, their musical maturity is exceptionally high. As an intro to The Warning, may I recommend my own first experience. ‘Evolve’ at the MTV VMA. Their beautiful music video for ‘Choke’. ‘Dust to Dust’ at the Teatro Metropolitan CDMX. Any one of them, but especially with all three, very likely there will be no turning back.

The Warning are mostly hard rock, though their style also varies from song to song. They blend classic hard rock, heavy metal, punk and alternative with a pop sensibility in their catchy hooks, lyrics and melodies. Suggest recent live performances of S!ck and Automatic Sun on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and Evolve from MTV VMAs last year. 😎👍

Making a suggestions for your next The Warning song is easy. Anything and everything. Seriously, it's all very good and yes, I'd say they are hard rock, but fans of Metal usually like them as well. Songs that I'd recommend are Hell You Call a Dream live at the Pepsi Center, Automatic Sun official video (live footage over the studio track), the music video for Six Feet Deep. Also, their songs from Jimmy Kimmel Live are excellent. These are my favorites from their latest album Keep Me Fed. From their previous album you should check out Evolve from the MTV VMAs (yes, MTV) or anything from the Teatro Metropolitan live show (Disciple, Dust to Dust, Z and Animosity are my favorites from that show). Also, it's cool to watch their original viral video of Enter Sandman when the sisters were 14, 12 and nine years old and then watch either the official video they did for the Metallica Anniversary album or the Teatro Metropolitan live version (a then and now scenario).

I think you will enjoy Band Maid even more if you stop trying to shoe horn them into a particular genre. Band Maid musicianship is so strong that they really can play any genre they like....for example Wonderland has a definite Jazz feel and Manners has a real Bluesy feel while Moratorium has a Metal feel and Choose me has a Punk vibe to it. Their catalogue is so vast that they really have music for everyone taste !!!
