There is a statue of Winters in Normandy that is dedicated to all junior military officers who served on D Day. I would like to go and see it some day

Great reaction. Love the transitions too. My favorite is the one from the typewriter being cranked to Winters tearing that tape with his mouth. I guess we can thank Tom Hanks for that. He directed the episode. :)

@@reactwithmike In the bastogne episode, guarnere was talking with medic (doc rowe) about needing help about having pain while pissing and needing penicillin. I'm guessing he caught something there lol. Guarnere by many accounts was just one of those guys that everyone gravitated towards. Men always wanted to be like him and he had a lot of success with the women too. And he can outdrink anybody. HBO max on youtube has recently been doing podcasts with actors and writers from the show (sort of a 20 year celebration of the show) and they are something you should check out

@@reactwithmike Yeah, the place his brother died at is Monte Cassino, it was a victory for the allies but they had more than twice the casualties. Also, Elizabeth Tower, with “Big Ben” in it, is in London, not Paris

my grandfather fought in ww2 he fought with the 85th in Africa and Italy but got transferred as a Chaplin to the 101st just in time to be in Bastogne

He Probably also can’t forget that kid because he’s one of the few or only one he looked right in the eyes. Killing people period is probably hard but killing at a distance is probably easier that seeing the persons facial expressions and eyes.
