I've thought about it but I don't think I'll be able to stream it T_T If I don't go on the second day I'll probably be watching it from home, I haven't decided if I'll stream it then. If you check out @ytnoach though, he'll be streaming it from his RU-vid!
I just built a sakazuki deck(just got into the tcg) was hoping to play it and learn it. Figured I’d try a hard deck to master before learning something easier. Rush decks seem very fun
Nice! Sakazuki is fun and powerful, but you do need to take some time to learn how to really use it. I would maybe suggest playing some simpler decks first or at least while you're learning Sakazuki, then you'll be able to pick it up even faster. Rush is fun : ) Red Zoro is always a good deck to learn the fundamentals on
I agree with a lot of what you said. Hound Blaze is really only used in Sakazuki (RIP Rebecca) and they have a replacement card that doesn't give them 3k atk. And, as much as I have been spamming yellow Enel this format, Bege can certainly go. That a balanced card by any means and OP06 makes him completely unfair. Doesn't matter that you know that he's there if you can't play around it anway. I think there are cases to be made for Rob Lucci or even Hina to get hit. I'm hoping it's only a few cards. I'm looking forward to the weekend so we can find out.
Thanks! I agree 100% I like Enel and yellow as a color and I still want Bege to go lol. I'm excited too, we're so close to seeing how things will be shaken up T_T
The worst part about Black is that the counter play is not playing characters.... Or hoping they bricked. If they did not your characters will be bottom decked n they establish a board while doing it. Their cards are so efficient now at removing for minimal cards and don cost that there is no drawback to the play pattern. As Pluffy I have only beaten Sakasuki when they bricked or the Sakasuki player did not know the deck yet. With yellow, games are back n forth. Against Sakasuki I gotta hope they just started playing the deck or brick n I hit a Kuzan with Paulie n ramp to 10 following turn. I say all this to say a combination of hound blaze, Lucci and Rebecca need some kind of touching. Limit, semi limit or ban. To reduce the consistency of the deck. Completely agree with Bege, no counter play. Basically feels like Maxx C in Yu-Gi-Oh.
I feel you on this one. I think the efficiency of black and the way it can cycle resources is just too good. Hitting the Rebecca Hina Lucci combo in some way would be good
Agree but my local shop owner tells me that you just need to bait his remover and keep attacking with magic number (7k for example). I tried this by summoning a 6 cost monster before my actual big boss monster and they just waste their remover like that. I got free big body for 1+ turn. That's just some tips tho but it'll not work on some decks like rp law. In that case, just rush em down. Also that magic number is why whitebeard is a non meta counter to sakazuki back in op05. For context, we use jp format.
Yeah baiting removal resources out of their hand early is a good tactic, but it can backfire if they see the cards they need. Sometimes they can remove everything and then still play 8c Moria the next turn and then they can remove even more lol
i have a theory that bege will get banned after we saw the zoro in vegapunk who can rest. but the new blaze card which is like a one cost amaru might mean it gets hit as well. maybe big mom doesn’t get hit since so many colors have big body removals like the the stussy. that’s just my thoughts 😊
Yeah, I think that might be right too : ) Flame spit = Amaru replacement Zoro = Bege replacement 10c Yellow Ace = Big Mom replacement (maybe) This could be them setting up so that the meta is still balanced after bans/restrictions
Hody having to take one life makes it a balanced card IMO. It's really strong, but not broken. And tbh, green needs it lol. Perona (doesn't run Hody) Uta and YG Yamato are the only green decks alive in OP06 really, and Uta normally doesn't run Hody.
Yellow has a bit of everything apart from bottom deck and lower cost But has removal, rush, double attack, banish, rest, look at life stack life plus more it's mad
100% Bege should be banned. Ultimate high roll card. Devastating to lose to it. Big Mom I could see being restricted. I firmly believe the new 10 drop Ace will replace Big Mom. I used to think bans after Worlds was a bit extreme, but after playing at a few tournaments, I think Saka needs to be hit yesterday. He is singlehandedly gatekeeping so many decks from being viable. Personally now I welcome the bans/restrictions. I just want to see Sakazuki knocked down a few pegs. Just tired of facing him and needing to build every deck with his playstyle in mind.
Yeah I think a lot of ppl in the community feel the same. The gatekeeping factor is probably the most detrimental. I'm all for bans/restrictions for a little while as long as it makes the game more fun to play, so we'll see if Bandai can get it right this time. Also, yeah let's just ban Bege plz T_T
9c Yamato on its own is not broken, it is really strong in an Enel deck though. I don't personally think it should be banned or restricted. There are other yellow cards you could hit that would make a better balance IMO
Yamato is more annoying than 10 don mama...big mama cant be in any yellow deck, but yamato does..also i prefer a million times to lose 1 life that destroying one of my characters..
@@geogreenwood really? I think Big Mom hurts more because you trash a life and your opp gains one. Yamato’s KO effect can normally only KO something that’s between 2-3 cost by the time it gets played, sometimes it can’t KO anything. You can play around Yamato, it’s a lot harder to play around Big Mom. They’re both strong cards but I think most ppl would agree Yama isn’t broken
Not necessarily banning but i see 8c gecko being thriller bark locked so op6 gecko & perona stays viable and limit the insane card pool that sakazuki has or are getting (1c tashigi, 2c event lucci like etc...)
Something like that could work, but it might start to create too many confusing rules for players to follow so Bandai will have to be careful about that
@@FudelioTCG yeah but since they already do that with digimon we can expect that they do the same with one piece. It's not really confusing if players are familiar with other card games. Iirc bushiroad also did something like that with Vanguard.
@@jaynnwillver5675 that's good to know then. If it's working well with Digimon, then we can have high hopes for OP too :, ) I agree it's probably not too confusing but just something to think about when making these big decisions
Only two things I can think of is. Japan and the west have play styles are different so the way we use it and how they use it could differ and we complain more in the west lol
I think partly bcus we just finished OP06 over here so now ppl can see how powerful it can be. And also Japan doesn’t seem to ban as much as the West. I don’t necessarily think Moria actually needs to be banned tho
hound blaze and linlin... is hard to keep up with your life vs a yellow deck and they just take 1 life and heal 1 and Also leave a 12k body in there :S that's pretty much gg and if you managed to survive next turn they might drop another big mom...
Dang thank you so much! That really means a lot. I forgot to talk about the unbanning possibility but I think unbanning Cabaji and Moby Dick would be fun to see what happened. But it could also be dangerous lol I think unbanning the boat would actually be okay, but I don’t think they will
Ice age is the basic minimum requirement for a black deck. Banning it will mean that we have less answer for big boddies. Also it's not really prevalent since ppl didn't run 4 of it. Most of the time they just use 1 or 2.
Yea i dont think it should get banned but if it were restricted i dont think it would make a huge difference to Saka players, but it would at least put Moria on a leash because some of them (if not most) run FOUR. My issue is that Saka/Black gets SO MUCH value for their don. I was in a match today where a guy went brannew -> tashigi -> great erruption -> ice age -> houndblaze. On a 10 don turn that still spares 3 don which couldve been more searches or more attack power@illver5675
Yea I don't think it should get banned. Although if it were restricted it wouldn't hurt Saka much but would atleast put Moria on a leash (I've seen a lot of them run 4). The crazy thing with black is they get SO MUCH value for their don. For example, today I played a game where a Saka went Brannew->Tashigi->Great Eruption->Ice Age->Hound Blaze and still had 3 don. That 3 don could be more searching, more attack power, or (even worse) another Hound Blaze. Against a Moria running 4 he could go Great Eruption->Ice Age->Ice Age->Leader Ability for Absolom->play another Absolom and clear up to 2 8c characters while developing a board. All of that in one turn to basically nullify my last 2 turns (8 don plays)@@jaynnwillver5675
Sakazuki has a Worldwide Wins in OP05 of 29% compared to 21 other Leaders who fill the rest.. yellow is broken... only in the US 😂 Latin America, Oceania, EU and JP is Saka the most dominant Deck.. just sayin
Im a perona player in op06, katakuri is a harder matchup for me, but i will agree that houndblaze need to be banned rather than 10c mom etc Just because saka is to broken imo Are you a saka player? If yes, then no wonder you got triggered
