I can't really blame Bandai for milking something that sells well, and of course all of this is optional and premium bandai, which is marketed towards collectors who would buy this stuff again for the sake of collecting.

As someone who didn't purchase any of the DX Geats stuff back then, Premium DX items are a must get to me

As someone who bought the entire retail line + some premium, I find the memorial stuff annoying, but I also have no desire (lol) to buy them. Only the LaserRaise Riser (and MagnumBoost sort of) have added extra functionality. Everything else is just a little shiner for those who love super duper show accuracy

I am still surprised we haven't got a CSG for the Ninja Duler, Beat Axe, or Zombie Breaker

Geats really is the new Den-O at this point in terms of merch and exposure. I get Bandai wants to maximize the molds as much as possible while they have them, but the close releases between DX and Premium makes the DX versions feel pointless. I think they need to either - have an embargo of min 3 years before recreating stuff Or - Do what Saber did. Add SD card slots to the DX drivers so people can download sounds as the show progresses. I know they did that for the sword, but in every other case it would be in the driver or even gimmick.

From what I get geats is really popular and these are selling I don’t really get the problem if people are buying it’s all good

As a Geats fan, I definitely appreciate what they're trying to do, but I think they're doing it too quickly and too soon. I want to say that this has put me off buying any regular-release DX toy during the show's airing, but there's no guarantee Bandai will do the same for any other show going forwards. For the BGM ID Cores, the two ID Core bases have different music on them. You can attach the covers on either the white or green base, depending on the music you want to play.

The one thing that I would want from the premium DX line would be a Garun and Lancer sound core ID set. That’s it.

Sales-wise Gotchard is on par with Geats and coming out of 4Q it's the 2nd best-performing Rider series of Reiwa. It's probably just Bandai having a high-performing show but minimal material to sell for it so the rehashing of Buckls and ID Cores.

As someone pointed out, gotchard seems to be performing about standard for rider. I think what's happening is that since 98% of gotchard's toyline is retail and what few pbandai releases for it there are are super expensive, they're just stretching for shit to release that fits that mid-range premium skew. They COULD make the unreleased vistamps and raise buckles, but i guess it's cheaper to just release what they've already made

The sound ID cores are outright worse than the normal ones, since they don't work with some of the special buckles

meanwhile were still missing alot of rider merchandis, remember the mach and chaser vistamps or the showa ridewatches

Geats is probably the first series I went hardcore into getting the gimmick. I’m still pissed that every time I preordered something on Amazon the order would get cancelled

Issue is the Popularity Of Geats vs Gachard. Some people are not buying Gatchard Toys due to the random cards. Those people mostly liked Geats and have spare money due to that. I am one of these people and as a fan I can get CSM items right now instead of waiting 10 years. Why not get the PB toys for gets they are still cheap and comes out once in a blue moon. PS: I bought the CSM Raiser Belt because the DX costed over $100 for only $30

I got the Magnum and Boost set and Zombie. I figured i would get the ones that changed the most (handle size for Magnum and Boost and color for Zombie) to better fit the show. I migjt slowly get some of the others, just to round out my collection, but after paying some ridiculous price on eBay for Bujin Sword, I dont plan on picking much else up. Geats is great, dont get me wrong, but I have to agree this is getting a bit ridiculous. If this is the model for the new series going forward, then why should i buy any of the normal DX toys? It's literally the reason i stopped buying Gotchard (besides the quality from Geats being a MAJOR step down). I'm waiting to see if they'll just release a collection of all the cards rather than buy box after box to collect everything that is in the show (so no Legend Riders for me). That's my two-cents. Glad to see someone talking about this!

Geats was absolutely awesome, so im glad theyre pushing these out.

I normally skip most of the memorial stuff except for the female riders as I want to support them, as the Reiwa era has finally introduced female riders who've gotten more prominent roles so I will end up picking up the memorial version of Fantasy if they release it. I have also picked up the Fever buckle as the ability to stop on the slot you want is actually good. As for the rest of the buckles and the rerelease of the Vision Driver, I'll be skipping.

Like you said, the PDX stuff just feels like CSM with extra steps. I never did buy any of the Geats DX stuff and I have no desire to buy these premium ones.

Man, gotchard was so bad that not only were they forced to turn it into an anniversary season to save kamen rider, but they even need to milk geats to keep surviving

I love the memorial laser raise riser the sound clips not being in the right slot for the premium kekera and beroba for their finishers sound way better and I love it. Geats is just a popular kamen rider series in Japan. Gotchard tanked hard they added Legend to help boost sales and show viewership because people like Kaguya over Hotaro. Gotchard is just a bad rider show to come off from the Geats who set the bar very high and Gotchard fell flat. I still don’t know what it wants to do with its story? It jumbles too many ideas and doesn’t know which one it wants to take? I have pretty much all the premium buckles from Geats and all I’m waiting for is the Plosion Rage and Premium DX memorial Geats IX buckle that will be the best one out of them all. I’ll take more Geats stuff over anything Gotchard. The other possible reason a vision driver memorial could be a reality is because there is a rumor that Ziin will have involvement in kamen rider outsiders with a new vision driver re-colored and a new suit/form for him. I hope it’s true but outsider’s story has been all over the place lol. This will be a fun year for Geats premium items! It’s been a blast haha

probally its the geats still hitting the fans but idk what they were thinking about selling the raise lazer raiser belt as csm looking for and kinda feels like gotchard is under performing than geats thats only my opinions

This is a very Bandai thing to do but Geats cooked so it gets a pass for me.

i don't really get how this is a problem. the products are superfluous, sure (i disagree about the bgm core ids though, bgm features are my favorite part of csm releases and to have the option there when actually playing with the driver sound fantastic), but the dx releases are already there. if you think they're silly, don't spend the money on them? it doesn't seem to be detracting from other p-bandai lines people actually care about, like CSM or sentai memorial or regular premium releases, but it still exists if you want like a "csm" styled geats collection. i don't really care, so i'm not going to get them. if it doesn't take away from the other offerings of regular dx or average premium releases, they can pump whatever they want out at the factory.

Geats is basically the new Zero One, which is the new Ex-Aid, which is the new Gaim, which is the new Den-O. Everytime a rider series is super popular they milk the hell outta it.

Do you know that because of bandai and their stupid premium dx raise riser stunt i am literally paying almost 200 dollars out of pocket due to the fact that Zen market wont allow me to even ship out the original defective one due to some stupid policy that had mentioned that if something us faulty and there is a replacement they must send the both together now i am paying unnecessary storage fee for the laser raise riser now for months disappointed
