I’ve seen some channels build first and paint after, while others paint pieces as they go along and assemble it fully towards the end. Which is better for a beginner?
For the most part I like to work in sub assemblies. Detail pieces will be painted separately from the main model and added later. On armor I will have 4 separate subassemblies, turret, hull, tracks and roadwheels.
i just got this model and i assembled completely first, i think im gonna disassemble the large sections and prime/paint those before doing another final assembly.
Amazing video! Thanks! I just bought this kit. At the end of the video you mention about the next part where you show weathering. But I don’t see it. Did you decide not to do it? Thanks again!!
Thank you very much! I work on the X-wing in the video where I also build a base for it! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2MVGgCdE_gI.htmlsi=r6LRt6tBM-j2HTZc
Looking good! If you decant the hairspray into a small jar then you can transfer it to your airbrush for precision application. I normally buy the non-aerosol hairspray because it's easy to decant straight from the bottle to the brush.
Nice first part Floki! X-wing looks good. Looking forward to see the weathering stage, it is pretty hard for me to imagine how to weather a space ship. Thanks for sharing, take care and keep up the good work my friend.
Thank you very much. I'm going about it like I would weather armor since that's what I have the most experience doing. I'm also debating changing over from enamel weathering to oils, the results I've seen others achieve with them are incredible.
