I left a comment in the other video. The instructions are very vague. They make it seem fun in the video. After 4 hrs of reassembling and de assembling with 2 M6 x37 screws missing for the P part. I'm now having to take apart the 4 leg assemblies because there was no instructions on which way to put legs
You keep saying you never read the directions which is kind of insulting to me because the directions suck. Step 1 shows a different layout than you started with. Step 2 shows B1 and B2 in parenthesis after the B with an A on each side. Step two! Where does this B1 and B2 go? Two days and i just want to send it back.
The support bars in the front and back are changed (not sure if better, since they're hinged with more plastic I'd care for). There is also now a center bar that runs the same angle as the side lifters to eliminate the bow of the roof in the center (i think that was a good addition but, they did not include extra bolts for this center bar...) There are velcro doors on both sides of the blind, not sure if the original had one or both... Overall I am pretty impressed with the blind. I did find this video sort of condescending at times. The instructions suck, but with some reasonable thinking of how it works you can do it. I found myself ignoring the instructions as it added more confusion.
lets be honest guys the REASON the camo skin doesn't come with is because its 200 extra bucks to blow! and the legs that you need to have a SHORE blind are 50 bucks hmmmmm
I just wish they were more custom to the size of the boat not to mention waterproof it and camo it with more stubble straps. Don't forget zippers in front to piss out of..hahaha good idea huh
So if I just bought a $20k duck rig, I'm supposed to buy this blind and not give a damn about drilling self tapping screws into the hull. Yea right. The concept is great, but having a way to secure it to the boat without having to drill holes would make it a million times better. You say after the season you can remove the self tappers and store it until the following season. Only problem with that is, you'll have 12 holes in your boat after 3 seasons. Really need to find a way to mount permanent mounting points to the boat. Then be able to remove the blind from those four points alleviating having to drill new holes every year.
Brady - Sorry for the confusion. The Axe blind comes with a permanent mounting system, much like you described. Shoot me an email and we will get you some more information on it - josh.dokken@maxxoutdoors.com
