Subscribed! Geetha, thank you for sharing your time and expertise. I’ve been deepening my concentration in yoga and seeking authentic practices, so your videos are very inspiring! The way you compared locking bandhas to how a parent puts their kid in a corner to control the energy got me to giggle, it was funny but so true. Please keep sharing!

I learnt all thesebandas from yoga teacher attend age of 50yrs. But not practising as of now.As iam suffering from IBS due to diabetic medications shall I start now? How many times I can do?
Yoga is not a pill you can swallow. Bandhas, mudras etc are advanced practices and if done incorrectly has severe long term consequences. What you can safely practice is pawan mutkhasana series and deep breathing. Surya namasakar could be next starting with one around. Make sure even for these yama/niyamas followed and contradictions observered.
Are you familiar with combining certain bandas , with the normal breathing practice, such as tongue Mudra , root lock contraction , and belly breathing .?
Can we do it in vajrasana ? Also in mahabandha we lock the bandh as from top to bottom. Is the sequence of releasing the bandhas from bottom to top in Mahabandha !
Both Bridge pose and Sarvangasana is an inhale posture , you can notice your spine goes through extension. In bridge ( Dwi pada pitham) you will lift your hip on inhalation and then hold the breath in Jalandhara. In Shoulder stand, you will lift the hip along with legs in an exhale, then do an inhale to reach final posture, where you can hold in Jalandhara. Hope this clarifies..
@@theyogiclens9118 My impression till now is all forward bending asanas are done exhaling, and all backward bending like Bhujang, Tada etc are done inhaling. This is what our teacher from Bihar school of yoga told once long back. Please correct me if I'm wrong, thank you
I have been having this bandas during my meditation automatically without doing it myself.i have been doing my breathing during the process. Could you give me any suggestions.
Yes… You can hold bandhas during meditation. Please also check out www.monadyoga.com for upcoming classes. I regularly conduct pranayama and asana sessions online
Ma'am I have IBS colitis, but I am habitual to these bandhas together with bahya pranayama. Ma'am should I continue these bandhas?? Or which pranayama or asana can be helpful for curing IBS colitis?
You can do Bandhas even if uterus is removed. ( Atleast 3 months after any surgery ) All the muscles and other organs get strengthened in the pelvic region. Please also check with your doctor.
