I think Parkway could probably headline Download, cause they've headlined festivals like Bloodstock and Wacken and even sub headlined for Slipknot so I think it would be rather awesome
Great vid bro! I don't know if they're big enough but I'd love to see pierce the veil headline! Or maybe a smaller more underground band like Kiss or Metallica 😆
Motley Cruë I’m pretty sure sub headlined under Ozzy, and they were great. Ended up being the band of the weekend for me that year. So yeah I could see Motley Cruë headlining as a legacy band
Agree with all these. I know you hate them, but Sleepy token are getting massive now. Definitely could see them selling out a night. Tried to get tickets to see them this year and most nights were already sold out before I could get a look in Also crispy new mic 🙌
I think Sleep Token and Ghost will both headline in the next 2 years. I also think Parkway, Architects, Sabaton, Gojira, Alter Bridge, Bad Omens and Spiritbox might get there. First 5 have all done arena shows, but need to sell them better, and the last two will surely do arenas next time they come here. I'd love Shikari to do it as that would be one hell of a show and the same for Trivium, but I think it is unlikely ever are big enough to do it. I'd 100% be down for Korn and Evanescence, both are fantastic live and would smash a 90 minute hits set out the park along with Deftones who are bigger than ever. I'd also say that we don't Limp Bizkit in a bigger slot than the one they have. 70 mins of them before a headliner is fantastic. Headliner set, I can think of loads I'd prefer to see. Then you have the big bands that could easily do it (many that you mentioned) Green Day, Blink, Paramore, Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam and Nickelback as well as the big outside shouts like Nine Inch Nails, The Cure and Depeche Mode. While not 100% DL headliners musically, they are vibe and production wise. Finally, Motely Crue is a hard no from me. They are absolutely awful live now. If you want a big 80's act that hasn't played before Bon Jovi would be a much better choice.
Spiritbox, bad omens and architects, my predictions for future headliners......I mean who would have thought BMTH would be headlining one day back in 2009 when they where way down on the bill
Korn and bizkit have the same issue they just don't sell big enough arenas for download to book them as headliners seemingly. I love them both but they just don't but man i wouldn't complain if they would headline.
Wembley stadium was half empty when both Def Leppard and Motley Crue played last year, they ain't headlining, the likes of Fall Out Boy and QOTSA can sell far more tickets on a tour than they could put together.
Korn should headline at Some point, maybe even a Bizkit/Korn co headline set would be great, I disagree with Evanescence, all the others I guess it just hasn't been the right timing or money. also you forgot Nickelback!!!! lol
