Bandsaw Dust Collection is a challenge. Bandsaws are generally poor at catching dust. I show two fairly simple mods to my bandsaw to deal with dust collection. Your saw may require a different solution but this may get you thinking.

I think this need a bit more explanation. I was completely lost as the reason for the wood block inside the door. I finally figured it out as you were cleaning near the collector hose port. I think maybe the video is too close up. Perhaps a few wide angle shots to set the scene would help. But overall some good tips. It has given me some ideas for use on my Craftsman 12 inch and my Delta 14 inch saws. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for that feedback, Glen. The block seals the foam up against the corner where the dust comes into the bottom of the BS and hopefullyy sucked into the top hose.

ok mike youtube is not telling me things again so im a couple videos behind but thats ok . i like the catching up part . makes me a little mad though i wait for your videos and i only know you put out like three since the last one i watched cause i come to check on ya . so expect a couple more comments from me lol .

You might check your YT notifications settings. But, YT has some interesting thoughts on notifications. If they deliver too many, they risk viewers turning all off and stopping subscriptions.

Could you post a picture of the drain pipe so we can see what cuts were made in it. Dust collection on a bandsaw is marginal at best.

Hello Mike. Thanks for this sharing. I had tha same problem with my band saw. I undrstood i could not catch all dust coming in the casing of my band saw. So i removed as you the two black casing bellow the table. I removed the both aspiration girds. As my door has two locks,i removed the bottom one to have a hole which allow the to penetrate in the band saw. Then i installed a polystyrene bloc just bellow the bottom wheel to have a little clearance between the wheel and the polystyrene bloc to increase the air velocity. As my english is not very good, i may be been not well understood. So if you want, you can share a temporary internet address to allow me to send you 2 pictures. Regards. Yves
