I think most of the Smol versions are just cutely mischevious. Then you have Smol Calli who's kind of violent, and Smol Ame who's an outright malicious menace.
Right? There's just so much that can be done that honestly these shorts could be the animated version of a 4-koma. A "slice of day" moment of the Vtubers.
I wanted to mention something about how this has a very RWBY/RT animation style, but thought itmight be in bad taste. o7 Rooster Teeth, you will be missed.
WHAT! This short is freaking awesome! Transplanting a classic Bone Bros bit into incredibly animated action slice-of-life... the Shorts team have upped their game again!
Unironically I’m shocked there aren’t more animations of vtubers leaning in to the mythical/ magical side of their character, this was such a cool animation!
Slice-of-life with the occasional scythe. This is amazingly done. From the animation to the conversation editing. We could only hope for such an anime.

I like how they both went into bullet time, but still reacted as if in normal speed. Gura probably would have been just fine, but Cali probably didn’t want to deal with Red Gura being unleashed on the city.
That midair Scythe summon was sick. Reminds me of Darksiders 2 with the Horseman of Death doing a similar midair flip, but actually digs his deep in the target.
Ooh, i really like this animation. The artsyle is so clean (but not too clean), and the mix of physics simulation with the (intentionally) stuttered frames looks so nice
on the one hand, there was definitely a visible distortion that heavily suggested some kind of small dimensional fissure pulled all three of them into an enclosed space. On the other hand, having lived in NYC for the first 20 years of my life, the streets COULD be clear enough for that to happen but nowhere near so suddenly, unless there was massive background coordination going on long before this sequence of events took place.
