I got the yellow modulation pedal recently. Very nice variety of quality sounds. Love the extra controls for fine tuning. The 7 saving slot feature is genius. Only quirk is when editing a saved slot you have to kind of twist the knobs a bit for it recognize you are editing. Great value, small footprint, and doesn't look or feel cheap.

I picked up the Preamp to use just like you did - replace my amp's pre-amp. Sadly, I couldn't get the tone knobs to truly behave the way an amp's does. I could never dial out the low-low end and the high-highs (presence). If your amp's tone stack comes after the send-return, then you could EQ-sculpt at the amp. I'd say the pre-amp pedal would be a great way to go ampless gigging. It sounded great through the PA, since I could then use the EQ knobs on the board to dial it in. And it would work great going into your DAW, too. The tones are fantastic in the Flamma, and the ability to switch between two channels on each model is a really useful feature. I found most of the seven models were pretty high gain, and compressed the signal a lot, even the clean channels on the models. Great product for tearing the roof off a joint, but not so useful playing blues and rockabilly and country.

Does anyone run a chorus and flanger pedal together or are they kind of a redundant set up especially if you just want that tone thickening and not the full on woosh of a flange? What I'm asking is if you want to run both on a mild / medium setting, does that make sense? Can't find any videos where anyone is comparing them run along side each other.

I stack modulation pedals. I don't do flanger much though, preferring phaser and univibe tones instead. I generally run those at a high 'rate' into a chorus that's set slower. Seems like most modulation pedals push the high freqs, so stacking them can get a bit ice-picky. Chorus and flange can especially get 'high freq', so adding one to the other could really get shimmery. I like chorus pedals with a tone control for that reason. Basically, no they aren't redundant if the rates of the two pedals are different. Just like you can play through a slapback delay, then put that through a long delay and hear your slap-back echo.

The PREAMP pedal idea is awesome! But it sounds like shit! Now if they could make it way fucking better, with real fucking parts, and a digital switcher/storer, with fully digital VST effects inserts or some shit, for like...idk $300 or so...that would be a sick fucking pedal! All Scooby Doo and the Funky Crew in that thing!
