Bangalore to Chennai by Shatabdi Express | Full journey coverage 

I like this journey from Bangalore City junction to Chennai Central by Shatabdi express. And I also like the electric locomotive krishnarajapuram wap7 which brought the train from Bangalore to Chennai Central as wap7 is my favourite electric locomotive of India.

32 years ago I travelled Madras to Bangalore on an older train took a long time. When I visit India again will try to get a ride on some of these trains. BTW are Indians paying for train travel these days? Those days almost 50% travelled without paying either locally or intercities. Illegally of course!

Shatabdhi express between Bengaluru and Chennai covering the distance in Five hours is not a appreciable one. Because in 60s when Brindavan express was introduced, it was pulled By Diesel locomotive WDM2 and covering the same distance in 5 hours keeping in between stoppages katpadi, Jolarpet, Bangalore contonment then finally Bangalore city. Now the same train is running as passenger train. Its really painful since the beauty of Brindavan express gone.. So if Shatabdi covers in 4 hours then its worth. Otherwise it is as good as a passenger train for me. Railways must understand the time factor more than luxury. The best part of the Diesel locomotive WDM2 it was initially attached to Howrah mail those days from waltair (Visagapattinam) on previous day afternoon at 1pm and was arriving chennai central next day morning 4 am. The same locomotive was attached to pull Brindavan expresss at 7.40am after refuelling and again it was attached on the same night to Howrah mail back and next day in the afternoon it was given rest. That was the performance of WDM 2

Nice work, but please show more of speeding train from outside and not from inside window, need oriignal track sounds, say something about stations, and train timings etc.
