Demonizer68 they should remove all windows wing mirrors and lights and remove the cat everything until it's a shell then kit it out with a roll bar a driver side door plate and foot plate to be a proper banger I should know I used to do banger racing
* Waving yellow flag * Well... caution on the track is kind of the whole point, isn't it? Like, at what point in a banger race would it _not_ be appropriate for the yellow flag?
It still had a valid mot at the time of this race, though the tax had recently expired. 132000 miles, my guess is it was traded in and then sent to an auction where there guys bought it for £200 and it met its demise. I'm a mechanic and years ago one of the sales guys used to do a bit of banger racing, we had a 1 owner mazda 626 traded in, was quite old like a H reg so 1990, this would have been around 2005, so age wise similar to these cars in this video, around 15 years old. I remember it well because the thing was immaculate, the old boy had really looked after it, it had full dealer service history with us, just over 100000 miles, taxed and mot'd, and this sales guy that traded it in then took it to a banger track and destroyed it.
A tired 17 year old c5 with 132000 miles, no tax and a soon to expire mot, pretty much worthless, probably traded in for next to nothing then sold at auction to these guys.
