Yeah but what could be more English than taking sh*t from the French I mean look at our language for example plenty of stolen French in it. Also French mustard is arguably way tastier than English mustard is
i think its because of stuff that weve seen in the past as well as the weird names. Its kinda cool to see guys like this give their food a good presentation and show what its supposed to look like and be like
Doing research into food history I found out about a restaurant in Glasgow in the 1950's/60's that was catering to the new "youth market" of the times. They had the strapline "All adults must be accompanied by a child". One of the dishes designed to appeal to younger patrons was sausage & mash. But as all the dishes had child friendly names they were called "Zeppelins in the Clouds". That name has stuck & we now call sausages & mash that in my family/circle of pals. Good looking plate BTW.
Thomas, I made this tonight for dinner. It was incredible!!! This is one of my favorite things I’ve eaten. Thank you for introducing me to this dish! I followed your video! If I could paste the photo of my plate here, I would! 😃
The only hate is coz of the low quality sausages most places use. This is the reason for most of the hate for British food. It’s not bad when the quality is there.
He looks at those onions caramelising and reducing like a guitar player in a middle of a crazy solo does the "stink face" lol. Pots and pans are his instruments. Subscribed.
That's because you are probably going on the stereo type of beans on toast etc, Just like the UK think that Americans just eat sloppy burgers and dirty water hotdogs lol
Actually, this great British classic hasn't been within my radar. Same as prior comment: Great inspiration. I used grill function (200° only) for 2* 15 minutes for the sausages, then left them for a few minutes without grill. The dish made it into my top 20 (of food I really love).
People that say the mash is too runny havent got a fucking clue or ever had 'proper mash' which is basically Pomme Purée. Theres very little things in life as good as that.
You know how to throw DOWN.. I always wanted to go to England & eat your food.. Sunday Roast, a fry up, & this meal u cooked up. Straight forward delicious
If you want a good fry up make sure you go to a greasy spoon cafe, none of that posh shit charging you over a 10er for tiny breakfast. Those small independent cafes do the best food you will ever eat.
Them sausages looked really good. I would wake up on a damp morning and cook this outside if I could just figure out what kind of sausages those are. Anyone else loves it when a fog rolls in? It's nice in a city area.
