Have you ever successfully tried this "Party mode"? I recently bought 3 devices (one "Get Together 2" and two "Get Together 2 Mini"). Stereo mode works just fine between every two devices individually, but getting them all three at once in multi-pair mode seems to be impossible. I already reset the Bluetooth on every device. Tried everything, but to no succes. It's kind of driving me crazy! :-)
Just got the Get together 2, I like it but it seems that it's not multi host capable. I am not able to 'take over' or switch the paring to another device while another one is paired, i.e switching from laptop to phone. I have to disconnect one for the other to connect. I had the mini since it came out and had no issues transferring devices on the fly. I too enjoy the acoustic mode, the other modes are just not that great and too boomy.
Hey Remi! We aren't sure when they'll be live in Europe. House of Marley does regional launches starting in North America, we will reach out to our rep with House of Marley. Hopefully it comes out soon tho!
Very good review. I picked up the get together 2 mini after watching this video. Question about the power on bong. At the start it had the bong when powering on. But now it has the female voice saying powering on and paired. Is this normal? Can I set it back so it doesn't have the voice?
I recently purchased the get together 2 XL and got recommended this video, I love the get together 2 XL. It is massive it's about 17 inches wide, 7 inches depth and 7 inches in height. It isn't very portable because it's so heavy and massive and I'm hoping for a shoulder strap and a fabric case for it. In terms of Bluetooth codecs it only does SBC on my device which is perfectly fine and works but I would like to see higher quality codecs used. I can use it as a battery bank to charge my phone, it has usb-c with PD and a usb type A port for everything else. It's really loud and the bass boost shakes the floor and walls of my apartment. Still me being absolutely crazy I wish it could go louder and have slightly bigger woofers. But all in all its absolutely fantastic and I'd love to purchase the get together 2 mini's for going out with friends. I currently use 2 JAM zero chills for that which bass is majorly lacking in that product once you've heard the difference between them and the get together 2 series. Also the House of Marley app should be bringing support for these devices at some point so you can set your own equalizers and customise button actions. I should also mention JAM Audio and House of Marley are both owned by FKA Brands. Customer support has been lacking as seen by the trust pilot reviews and my own experiences. UK phone support was excellent but they recently shutdown the phone support and emails I haven't gotten a response for ages now from their online support form :(
I got my speaker and had it plugged in overnight and the battery light indicator shows constant charging. I thought the charge was only supposed to take a few hours but the red light never switches off
Definitely contact support it's most likely defective batteries, I'd suggest calling them as you get through and get stuff done quicker. JAM Audio and House of Marley are owned by FKA Brands and I've had trouble with email support so I think they have some kind of issue and I've raised it up but I think it's still ongoing.
We would 100% take the Get Together 2 Mini. Main reason being that this is a proper boombox which has been compacted down so it's MORE travel ready, but it's still a larger speaker with a lot more power than the Bose. The price is comparable, but that's about it. Bose Soundlink Flex made to be a more portable personal speaker, and Get Together 2 Mini is great for the entire party, plus you can connect 4 or more of them together!!! Thanks for the awesome question and supporting our channel. :)
If that's the only way you want to use it, probably not. The water and dust resistance, bluetooth, battery all add to the cost, so you could get much more bang for your buck buying wired, mains powered bar or speakers. The two front drivers are too close together to create well-separated stereo from a monitor distance (although you can stereo-pair two units, but you'd have to pay for two of them). This speaker is good as a portable sound system for a laptop, phone or a tablet, but it's worth noting that BT wireless mode has a bit of latency to it that's ok for most media, but is very noticeable when gaming.
You loop it through the side, there's a pole inside it. You put the small loop around the pole and put the longer piece through the small loop exposed and by tension it keeps it hooked on and it can be removed by reversing the steps
You can use it plugged in, but it is likely that the battery will degrade over time if you never use it battery powered. It should be fine if you only plug it in from time to time, to keep it charged up.
The second edition House of Marley Get together mini is only 30 dollars more MSRP than the first edition. There are discounts in place currently to lower the price of the first edition until it's sold out. The MSRP is $199.99 CAD and 229.99 CAD respectively. It has more battery, smaller size, bigger sound. So no, not double the price.
@@MaahirMomtaz12 So $50 less than the new one. Honestly, the new one is definitely worth it for those new to the line, but if you just picked up the last version, It's still a great unit too. No reason to upgrade. House of Marley has found a lot of success at that 229.99 price point for the mini, which it should be no surprise that the new one is sticking to the same price model. :)
The manufacturer says that the House of Marley Get together 2 Mini has a battery life of 15 hours and not 20. And that probably if you use the audio speaker at 50% volume.
Good sound, but: My Bluetooth Speaker after falling down once broken. On my request, no spare parts or repair option. Sustainability can only be achieved through circular economy and I feel screwed. Quote website: "Every Marley product shows that responsibility to the environment is taken very seriously." Such a thing is also called greenwashing and is even more disgusting than standing by one's greed for profit and, by the way, has nothing to do with Marley's values. The "support" (only reachable by mail) didn't even understand what I mean at all. I am very very disappointed and can really no longer recommend these products to anyone. For JBL, on the other hand, there are many spare parts. The Marley speaker now ends up in the trash can - really sustainable, really climate-friendly.
