Yes indeed, Suvarnabhumi is definitely one of the better airports in South East Asia, everything you need is there. And on a sidenote, quite funny, auto subtitles translated "Suvarnabhumi Airport" to "Subway not home Airport" Haha.... too funny. Thanks for another great video Arsen. I love this airport more than the old airport. It has made everything easier to fly in from USA 🇺🇸 and transfer to other destinations like Udonthani and Koh Samui. The airport is clean, easy to navigate and staff is friendly. A lot of amenities that a traveler needs at almost any hour. My arrivals tend to be between 12 am -3 am so I usually stay at the airport for the 6 am connecting flight. I’ll refresh in the bathroom that isn’t busy at the far end corner in baggage claim. Reorganize my bags to meet the weight requirements from 50 pounds to 40 kilograms. Then I exit to go to the convenience store for a SIM card, food area and then go get a massage.
Thanks Arsen for this video. I have been using this airport since the opening in 2006, but i still didn't know some of the places you mentioned (like the box rooms). It is a shame most tourists don't know about the food court on the lowest floor, much better and cheaper than the restaurants on the departure floor. And the Airport link is truly the best way to reach Bangkok (Phayathai Station) for only 45 bahts. Are you french ? I am wondering what kind of visa you are using, you seem to be in Thailand forever… Great video as usual, cheers.
Every department store it have a service wat refund in Bangkok, you must keep your ticket, because the service wat refund they will ask your ticket, if you don't know where, you ask someone who work in the store department where you are, they Will tell you where's the service wat refund, Thai people is very helpful.

Nice comprehensive guide. Good info on VAT refund, which most travel videos don’t cover. Curious if ATM conversion rates are similar or competitive with exchange rates in the city. My bank refunds associated transaction fees, so this has been my preferred method to get Thai baht on arrival.
Best rates are using your debit card atm withdrawal as they give u the mid market rate , much better than money changers , you still get the mid market rate even withdrawing from a atm at the airport
Hi Arsen, another great video for BKK. I really appreciate you putting together these BKK videos and it's going to save a lot of people's time. I have a quick question for you or any of your viewers that have experience with international arrivals connecting to a domestic flight. Since I booked the domestic flight from BKK to Phuket separately, I believe I need to go through immigration. Is the following sequence and allowed time correct: 1 - International arrivals on Floor 2 2 - Walk through terminal towards Immigration (following blue signs) and no check in luggage ~5-6 mins walk 3 - Immigration line and processing time ~30 mins (arriving at 10:50am, is this rush hour?) 4 - Pass Immigration, exit and make our way up towards Floor 4 Domestic departures for Phuket ~6-8 mins walk 5 - Flight check-in counter and security line ~30-40 mins 6 - Pass security and walk towards our Gate ~5 mins Total required time to catch our connecting Domestic flight from BKK to Phuket ~1.25 to 1.5 hours on a Thursday around 11:00am. I have a 2 hour window to catch my Phuket flight. Does this seem reasonable and achievable?
I had the same situation before, once you arrive to the immigration, where you stand in line, if you see that you are short on time, tell the security officer you have to catch a flight by showing your domestic tickets, they will guide you to the fastest way to pass the immigration and head after to the domestic check in. No worries stay safe

Can you please clear up some confusion with using a phone in Thailand? If a guy goes to Thailand for a year O-VISA, is it best to cancel the stateside cell phone plan and just get a new phone in Thailand? We are not sure if we should just get a new phone here, keep the plan and just get a sim card? Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
It's nice to see the airport. When I arrive It's at least midnight and all I want is to find the hotel and the bed!! Haha!! When I leave It's very early morning. No time to explore. About exchanging money. When I flew to through South Korea the exchange rates where very high. It would be worth your wild to check the exchange rate for Thai baht at Inchon Airport in South Korea.
Arsen, thank you for another great VLOG. I agree with you on the exchange rates. I can get an extra 1.5 baht per 1 GBP compared with the best UK exchange companies such as currency club. Do they take cash? Do we have to pay for the luggage trolley? See you in a few weeks.

Looking at Google maps. It says take bus at airport to bangkok Silom. Where do I find the bus, how much, what color is it. It says it takes about 45 minutes. Is it the public bus or limobus? Which is best and cheapest?

On 14th March arrived in Thai International airport at abt 2.30pm. We were queuing at immigration counter W40. The custom officer is extremely rude. He is seen screaming and quarrel with travellers in line. Challenging tourist to take his seat. I do not think he is suitable to be in the front line as he is impatient n aggressive. I hope the Thai airport Authority will be able to see this post.
Would you say it's worth getting a SIM if only staying for 2 weeks since most places have wifi? Also how long do you need to be at the airport before your flight if it's a domestic flight? choosing the short flight to Chiang Mia over the very long train/bus ride
It's all good, but for the people who have not traveled overseas it would be nice to know where do you go after the plane lands to get your visa stamped? Also, where is customs and how do you move through it? What about the red vs green channel walk through? Try to think as a first time overseas traveler(me). Thanks
The channel has a good collection of arrival process videos. In general, the first step is to fill out the TM6 on the plane. Then after leaving the plane, follow the crowds to immigration. At immigration, get in the proper line: Thai citizen or non-Thai. Come through immigration and pick up bags. Make sure to keep the TM6 so ub in your passport for departure... easily lost if not careful. Actually, you may want to check on the TM6, I read they may be getting rid of it.

there was a Super Rich exchange near the Airport Rail Link station in the basement is it still there? as far as I remember the rates were the same as in the Super Rich offices in Bangkok
For my choice is koh lanta ( Thailand), Lombok ( Indonesia), because I was borned in Asia South East, you choice what you like, don't never choice what's other person choiced.
