It's good to see that you have shown a travel hack for travelers who wanna visit the places/countries in the vicinity to Thailand economically. ❤ from India
You're welcome, I'll be sharing more info on Laos in the upcoming vlogs but a typical daily budget would be around 30-50$ USD/PP as Laos is extremely affordable. I was told by the Thai immigration to fly back to Thailand but my Kenyan friend who works in Bangkok usually travels back and forth by road, I think it depends on your passport. But flights would typically cost around 70-80$ USD to Bangkok.
Very informative blog. No doubt your efforts are commendable. Shall highly appreciate should you kindly share these information. Thank you. 1) Did you pay them exactly USD 40/-, in small denomination notes? If not, was the change returned? 2) Did you have to pay any tip, at the VOA/IMMIGRATION counter? If so, how much?
Hi thank you for your appreciation! No you don’t need to tip anyone.I gave them a 50$ USD note and got my change back. It is very relaxed and a very friendly immigration experience!
I think technically it must be good. It’s visa free so you just get a stamp on passport but I recommend double checking if they’d allow to enter by road wherever you’re getting your ticket from. Sometimes passport strength matters!
Hey you can show up at the station and book the tickets by showing your passport, that’s what I did. It is possible to book online with a Thai app but I found it kind of difficult.
